I find it funny that the only people that claim to like cloth better than leather are the base model owners.

Yeah I won my favorite car lol. It was a contest turtle wax put on a little over a year ago. Basically i submitted a reflection photo of a car, Turle wax selected 10 finalists out of I believe 3,000 plus entries, and over the coarse of a month people voted for the photos and I had the most votes.
that luck mod...
I don't bother doing things like that but I really ought to. Keep doing them and odds of winning at least once are in your favor

As far as leather verses cloth I could care less. I actually like the pattern of the V6 cloth over the eco or GT cloth. Once my cloth starts to wear out I plan on buying either Katzkin or oem take off

I find your "big guy" complex in this thread to be funny.........after leather in every single car I have had to date, I like the cloth in this particular car much better...........its a mustang..........if it was a Bentley, that would be different

Also....In 2 years, the leather of cheaper quality ford uses, will show MUCH more signs of wear then cloth...... no getting around that

........now come back and tell me how fast your car is.....vrooom vroooooom

When I bought my really-good-bargain cyclone convertible, I always planned to change out the standard factory cloth seats to Katskins leather... after riding around with the standard seats for a month I realized how these were the best and most comfortable cloth bucket seats I've ever experienced. I went ahead and put the custom purple and gold Katskins in however. The Katskins installers boxed up my original cloth seats and gave them back to me. So when I decide to sell my "bargain" Mustang convertible, I will
have the practically-new cloth seats put back in.

Even after I won I didn't believe it. I didn't really buy into it until I got a call from my dealer and got a chance to sit in the car. I still canthink believe I won.
That's crazy. If I see you at the Alderwood Mall I'll know the story haha

Maybe that's why we bought the base model...?

Premium gives you a whole bunch of useless things plus the touch screen for 5k extra. I can find a lot of better ways to spend 5k. If it was a daily driver(I have a brand new mdx with nice leather for that) I'd consider premium though. For a fun car only I see no benefit of premium.
Like I said I bought oem ford leather seat covers thinking I'd after a while wish I had leather. Not so much! So now they're just sitting in a box in the garage.

If I hadn't won my 2015 v6 I would have never thought about buying one. I used to talk so much crap about the V6 but once I lowered the car and put sway bars on it, it became a extremely fun car to drive everyday.
So you were one of those guys who'd always be like "Just a V6" or "Shoulda got a GT" then you end up getting a free V6?

The standard ford leather is kinda meh, feels hard, rough textured, clearly not real leather, etc.

The premiere trim leather is great. Smells like leather, much softer and more supple, very comfortable. It probably won't be as durable as a cloth, but that has been the case with leather seats since as long as I can remember.

I wouldn't say I like it better but having lived with a full leather interior before it has advantages and disadvantages.. primarily the seats burn your ass which kinda sucks considering it's 90 degrees and sunny here year round.. my old ML had 20% tints all around and it still burned my ass every time..

Also.. having worked in automotive and marine upholstery for 10+ years.. I've grown to hate leather Lol..

Don't get me wrong, rental cars with leather are great, but I don't necessarily want to deal with it in my car.. and hell, if I ever change my mind I could just do it myself or have my old contacts do it for me for a relatively low price.

$5k is nearly a S/C, all of a racing clutch and some other cool mods, 5 years of fuel, etc. That said, leather is cleaner. But as new car owner, any dirt is my dirt, and my dirt don't stink. I'd prefer vinyl if offered on base. Or that MB Tex offered on a Benz.

Useless to you is not useless for others bud. I wouldn't have even bought a mustang if I had to go with the ugly base interior. It's all opinion so who really cares lol.

That just proves that if given a chance...the V6 can prevail. I used to have the same mindset that Mustangs should be V8's until I decided to actually drive the V6. Now I have one.

My sixxer has leather seats because it was a showroom model. I'd rather have cloth. Leather seats stick and can get really uncomfortable if you live in a place that gets over 100 degree summers.
