Is that before or after the Hennessy tune?

I was thinking to myself "will it ever stop revving? I hope not."

Made 38whp more than their stock Z/28 on the same dyno. Word!

This is my point 482 on his dyno, but on the "Tuner's" dyno its 448 or so...some thing is not right....

Different dynos, different days, etc. A single run without some kind of comparison is meaningless. That's why I dug up their Z/28 dyno to compare. It's still not the same day, but being the same dyno at least gives a little more of a ballpark idea of how the car stacks up.

man, it maybe im a rock, but that wasn't very impressive for that expensive car. stock gt with a few bolt ons and a whipple would have a lot more than the 350 and the insurance is a hell of a lot cheaper...

The GT is a hell of a value for what you get, I have to agree with that.

The GT isn't going to tackle a road course with the setup you suggest. It's not going to be considered one of the best drivers cars along with some of the nicest cars from other manufacturers. It's going to be a blazing quarter-mile bruiser, for sure and actually does other things pretty damn well - that's why I said it's a great value....so value...

You're going to pay what, $37,500 for a GT with PP, Sync 3 and some other options? Add $10k for whipple and supporting mods just for the whipple - this isn't touching suspension and such. So you have a $47k car that's worth $37k, if it was still new (you lose mod money, pretty much). Put a few miles on it and it's worth $30k within 1-2 years.

Bottom line the GT can be made fast but they are a different breed and everything you spend on a car in mods is usually lost.

PS - Don't get me wrong. I've thought about a GT many times because of what you get for the money. I've eaten mod-money before and I'm a little over burning that cash but still considered it.

In less than a year, they can be bought for under 30k with very low miles, shit driving out the dealer you lose a few thousand.

I think you are over estimating what you can get for a car with a blower on it. I think most people would be afraid to buy it due to worries about longevity.

I do think you could take a Mustang with a blower to the road course and it would be fun and fast. If you are a really good driver you might have issues with brake fade and engine temperatures, especially on hot days. I don't see anything wrong with people choosing a GT or a modded GT over the GT350. I thought about it quite a bit. I'm happy with my decision.

You might be right. Just giving benefit of the doubt. ;)
