If you’re going to be worried about what other people say about you having a V6 Mustang…don’t get it.People will insult your car, but many will compliment it as well.Sad that people still believe that a Mustang HAS TO HAVE A V8… they don’t realize the V6 has been around ever since the beginning and was an integral part of the Mustang success in America.Good day.
Not once have I had someone dis my car. Treat others with respect and you'll get it back in spades. If you go around posing, someone will probably put you in your place. But if a person can enjoy what they have and want what they have, they'll be happier than anyone around.

I actually considered getting a F150 like that. Figured it would be impossible to find.
Only way you get an F150 like that is by ordering it.

Dealers around here order mostly two types of F150s. The stripper models so they can display a low price F150, and then a bunch of trucks with options you really don't need/want to drive the selling price up. People wanna complain about resale value of the mustang... just look at trucks. You'd be insane to drop 40k in a truck. :headbonk:

If I recall, the regular cab 5.0 2015 f150 is only like 700lbs heavier than the mustang gt.

Love my V6 w/ 6-speed manual. Plenty of power, looks great, and reasonably priced.

Consider me a very happy camper.

Maybe someday a V8 will happen but, for now, I made the right choice. Period.

You won't get a good deal if you have to custom order. Maybe Invoice. The 2015 Crew Cab 4x4 V8's sitting on the lots are sometimes listed way below invoice.

I think the 2015+ F150 regular cab short bed is about the same weight as the Mustang, given its aluminum body. Power to weight is less favorable, as the engine is tuned to tow, but its not bad. Maybe 3800 / 380 HP. Be a great machine if you could get one at $22k. Still a reasonable deal at Invoice. Given the utility of a 6.5 ft bed.

Got my cyclone Mustang vert for $27,700 with every option available except 3.55. Put custom Katskins leather full seating for another $1,200. So for $28,900 I have a 300HP Mustang convertible that gets over 30MPG on regular unleaded and looks like a sports car costing thousands more...a helluva value, I'd say!

hard to say when I haven't driven either

Interior matters to me! I can't imagine driving in a base interior (to me it's ugly), I need premium trim with the nice big screen.

I would lean to the eco, only for that reason!

I bought a GT but base with PP. I think the interior is nice. I much prefer the cloth seats after using them compared to the crap leather that ford uses. If I daily drove the car I would probably get premium but Ford throws so much junk into the premium package that hikes it up. Would be paying 5k extra and only thing I'd like out of it are in dash screen, homelink button and rear diffuser.
I actually bought some brand new take off leather seats for front and rear but after owning the cloth seats a month or so now no need to install them. Cloth just is so much better for spirited driving.

I agree.. Leather is nice but the cloth suits my needs better.. I would happily get a tech package for the nav screen/stereo upgrade if it were offered FORD.. :ninja:

If I hadn't won my 2015 v6 I would have never thought about buying one. I used to talk so much crap about the V6 but once I lowered the car and put sway bars on it, it became a extremely fun car to drive everyday.

I'm 18,700 miles (and 365 days) into owning my GT.

Except for merging on to freeways and the occasional acceleration run for funsies from a red light, I have gotten the tach over 4,000 RPM a grand total of once (passing a tour bus on the road between the Grand Canyon and I-40, when I hit 115 mph before I could blink). Nobody really needs all that power.
Haha dude your driving is so boring. I'm at 3000 miles and ~25% of my driving is >3000 RPM. Love the power and sound of my car.

Yeah I won my favorite car lol. It was a contest turtle wax put on a little over a year ago. Basically i submitted a reflection photo of a car, Turle wax selected 10 finalists out of I believe 3,000 plus entries, and over the coarse of a month people voted for the photos and I had the most votes.

Even after I won I didn't believe it. I didn't really buy into it until I got a call from my dealer and got a chance to sit in the car. I still canthink believe I won.
