2.5" Borla S-type, am I restricted for the future?

Hey all, a few months ago I ordered and installed the S type 2.5" with X pipe from Beefcakes website. At the time they didn't have a 3" S-type or the 3" s-type with H pipe that they do now.

My question is if I want to go long tubes, what size headers should I get? 1 7/8ths 1 3/4, etc...

The other question is will I be restricted due to the 2.5" catback?

I'm pretty sure I know the answer that to get the most out of the headers I need the full 3" with 1 7/8 long tubes.

If I kept the 2.5" how much HP am I losing out on?

Anyone have the borla long tubes?

Whatever way I go with it will be tuned accordingly.

Unless you're going for 700+ HP forced induction you won't be limited at all.

1 7/8 is the most popular. The ARH direct fit is what you should get. The 2.5 won't restrict you unless your over 700 HP like Budwise said.

have some great buys on the stainless power, pypes, and other brands right now, we have all of them

another question for you guys, I live in Houston Texas (Harris County)

do I NEED catted or can I go catless? I looked all over and it really boils down to if a shop does a visual inspection or not. they also may put something in the tailpipe.

will the car still be emissions legal with catless?
