I hate all of you non PP guys. That shift to third on the manual PP makes me real sad when I look at my 0-60. Even with my tune.

I tried this out for the first time today.. pretty disappointed..

6.2 0-60, stock auto with just an MMR intake.. I only tried it because the temps dipped below 70.. normally it's 90-something here day at night.

Also, given ambient was relatively cool, I was a bit alarmed to see my IATs climb quickly with a short idle.. the intake temp went from 80 to 126+ in almost no time at all, is this normal?

I popped the hood and it was like opening an oven door with the heat that came out.. damn near everything under the hood/in the engine comrpartment plastic/cable/metal was hot to the touch... everything. The top of the hood was cool to the touch tho.. All the gauges read normal, oil, trans etc.. So I dunno..

Intake temps definitely rise quickly. And it's normal for everything to be hot to the touch under the hood as well. Heck, even running the engine for 20-30 seconds is enough to get the turbo hot enough to burn you.

Managed a 4.8 the other day on a slight downhill grade.
MT with map cai,ic Adam tune and mbrp catback. No downpipe yet. Looking forward to doing downpipe and retune.

You probably won't see that time again with a downpipe and re-tuned lol. I managed 4.7 0-60 multiple times before those mods now I just spin to much.

The launch control doesn't make sure your getting traction, it just two steps at 4K rpm and builds a little boost that way when you let out the clutch you have power ready to go. Only problem is it's too much power with base stock all season tires. I just spin, and it makes my times slower. With some proper wide performance tires it will hook more effectively and the launch will be beneficial. I think I'm gonna get some wider rims for the width of tire I'm trying to run. Upgrading to 19X10 rims will be a big improvement over the base 17" rims, not sure how wide they are would assume around 8.5, not enough for the tire I want.

That makes sense. I had a 2005 S4 before this and the tune I got had launch control that brought the rpms up to 5k and held them, then when the you dumped the clutch would try to keep rpms around 3k but it was a NA V8 with all wheel drive so no need to worry about boost or traction... Just the clutch

4.9 sec 0-60 on auto base ecoboost with Tune+ tune and intercooler on 93 octane. Will be testing the E30 as soon as the weather allows but 1st gear traction on the stock 17's is pretty terrible.

4.8 sec 0-60 on a premium Auto GT non PP w/ 3.15 rear end. I'm running Lund racing tune, Borla S-type 2.5 cat back, stock intake and stock bald Pirelli PP wheels/tires at 26 psi. I will be installing a new set of BF Goodrich G-Force KDW 285/35R19 tires this weekend. I hope it does a little better due to better grip and slightly smaller tire to help those 3.15 gears.

Managed to get 4.6 after installing JLT intake and Lund tune.

I have an FRPP catback on a GT base AT 3.55 and 18" wheels (235 stock tires).
