but to OP's question:

-wish the visibility is better, hood is high and long
-wish the steering ratio is tighter, although the steering feel is excellent in sports mode.
-wish the steering wheel is a bit thicker and maybe smaller?

I feel the hood is noticeably lower when compared to the regular Mustang hood. Just an FYI.

Typically "upgraded" OEM audio systems aren't that great. The only thing I wanted from the Tech package was the Touch 3.

I wanted the seats and Magneride. Nav might be nice, not sure.

Come on guys, you forked out 60k, you can throw in some better speakers.

The money is in the drivetrain.

Upgraded our Mazda CX5 to a Bose system. Sounds great. Zero reason why they couldn't have focused on this a bit more, but I have yet to hear it in person. I'll be sure to pay attention when I grab this thing today/tomorrow.

You love the engine in the CX5? IMO it's just different priorities. I want a great engine but I don't need the best sound system. Cars tend to be loud anyway.

Audio systems are subjective. My son loves tons of BASS I don't. I think the system is decent and wont be changing it out like I have done on most of my Mustangs.

Yeah it's plenty good for me so far. I've mostly kept the volume low, though. The engine is awesome to listen to!

Well ford made me do it ( with the 12,week wait and more ) so I'm looking @ a 2014 GT 500 with performance pack. 9000 miles. looking also @ a audi RS5 450 hp and a ton of extras. Low miles. Both cost about what the base is @ $50K. 662 hp with adjustable dampers and a shaker 500. 3.5 and 11.3 1/4 mile. Might do it tomorow because I'm sick of the round and around we go where it stops Ford doesn't know.

Nothing wrong with a 662 hp gt500. I will tell you that I have a good friend who has 2 gt500's a 2014 and a 2006, he also has a viper, z06 (c6) and more than a few other hot rides. I gave him a ride yesterday and he immediately decided this was the car he must have. It's a very nice car.

I'm willing to bet my desire for a nice audio sys will almost be destroyed once I hear that engine... Just a nice to have in my book.

EDIT: haha, no, the CX5 is the lady's vehicle. I'll be thrilled to get my own car back after 5 years of waiting around. ;)

I agree that there are some stock systems that sound good. And I wish Ford had done more, but never expected it. Mazda in particular is one of the best. A few years ago several car reviewers, MT etc....stated the upgradedsound system in the Mazda3 was better than most luxury cars.

My wife used to have a 2007 Mazda3, base sound system, and it made the Mini Cooper I used to have sound like absolute crap. Her new car now, RDX, has a bose and it's pretty good as well. But if it were my car, I would be upgrading some of the speakers because it's not that great.

A side rant, Bose actually sucks in general, the systems are just better than stock. And all of those upgraded systems still have crappy paper speakers. I bet if you pulled out one of the Bose speakers it would not look like any speaker you can buy in a store. If you read some audio forums online, the saying goes, no highs no lows must be a Bose.

Back on topic, I'm willing to bet if there was a poll on this website, the large majority of buyers are not interested in the sound quality very much. Ford played to the majority of buyers to save time and money.

I for one love having a good sound system. I had my trunk full of subs when I was younger. Now it's about sound quality with good bass to enjoy, but good speakers, HU, and amp can create plenty of bass without a sub.

Never did I expect this car to come with the shaker system though, as much as I would enjoy it. Considering all the talk of weight saving and performance etc... and how complicated the engine was to design I completely get why it is what it is. Nothing about this car is about a good sound system or listening to music. So the put their time and money elsewhere. And if it means the car is $750 less or so without a shaker, fine by me.

Besides, for less money than a manufacturer charges, you can take it to a shop (NOT BEST BUY) and get a much better system installed. Which is what I plan to do. Because while I may drive with the windows down around town even when it's below freezing to enjoy the exhaust. This will be my daily driver and on long trips some good music is a must for me.

Great thoughts. I'm not a huge fan of Bose, in general, but I like what I hear in the CX5. Not sure what I'll end up upgrading to, but we'll see!

With all the talk about saving weight, it's not surprising that the sound system is only paasable. Strong speakers are typically quite heavy as they require a large magnet to get good, clean bass.

It would a great opportunity for the aftermarket to offer a light weight sound system of quality for the car.

Great thoughts. I'm not a huge fan of Bose, in general, but I like what I hear in the CX5. Not sure what I'll end up upgrading to, but we'll see!

I will put it this way, if my 2015 GT Premium sounded as good as my 2005 GT Premium(with only aftermarket deck) I would be happy.

But my new car sounds, in many ways, worse than a 10 year and a 20 year old car both with their stock speakers.

Unacceptable and spending more for aftermarket solutions is crap, especially when the package you pay extra for goes so far as to highlight all those extra "premium" speakers.
