Let me start by saying it has nothing to do with the quality of the product, but installation was a pain due to issues I created. I drove my car up on Race Ramps to raise it up and put 1 back corner on a jackstand so I could get underneath the car. Would be a lot easier using a lift since tough for me working on my back. Tough getting my hands up in there to do the work. I have an x-pipe so it would probably be tougher with the stock resonator. Getting the old bracket out was easy. Used a deep socket with a couple of extensions so the ratchet would be below the x-pipe to remove the nuts. When I put the new bracket in, I over tightened one of the nuts causing the stud to break. Had to pop off the center console so I could drill it out an install a new bolt. You need to raise the sifter assembly up into its original position while putting in the bracket in place so everything will align properly. After that, everything went back together smoothly.

Took the car for a drive today. It shifts a lot easier than it did before with no increase in NVH. I thought about changing the fluid but will hold off on it.

Bottom line, it is a worthwhile improvement. Installation is not too bad if you do not run into issues like I did. Hopefully others will give advice when they install it to help out everyone else. Not sure why they have a choice of colors since you cannot see it once installed but it is a nice touch.

Thanks for taking the time to do a write-up after getting it installed! Sorry to hear that you ran into some installation difficulties but it sounds like you've got everything straightened out!

Glad to hear you are enjoying your improved shifts! Thanks for choosing Boomba and let us know if you have any questions.

Installed mine tonight, pretty straight forward install. Just need a 1/4 drive ratchet, 12" 1/4 drive extension, swivel and 10mm deep wall socket. Took about 20 minutes, without running into any problems. With the stock shifter mount, the shifter always felt like you were going to break something if you power shifted it, like the internals of the shifter were made of rubber. With the Boomba mount it has that mechanical feel to it, similar to the old T5 5-speed, which is good. Now you can feel the linkage and shift forks thru the shifter when stopped and going into first or reverse, nice to feel connected with the trans. Now when you power shift it the shifter has a solid stop to it instead of feeling like it would bend on over. Did not notice any increase in NVH while driving, you can here the linkages a little when stopped and putting it in reverse or first, but nothing that would bother me. Overall very pleased with the shifter mount, very nice improvement to the stock shifter.

Thank you for the review! We're happy to hear that install went smoothly and you are pleased with the shifter. I think it is safe to say it takes away a lot of the slop from the stock shifter. Are unit definitely helps to make shifting your Mustang a much more mechanical experience!

Thanks for choosing Boomba!

Ahh I see it now. Paypal still gives out a e-mail address that isn't 'officially supported' anymore so I have to go into the webmail to see it.
