I'd like input from others comparing the Roush to the Gt350. It seems the price range is close and I'm just wondering if the Roush would be considered when cross shopping.

No comparison... One is a GT with performance upgrades while the other is a factory racer.

Rouse = straight line gain

GT350 = all around fun w/ serious track performance

I agree and noticed that the GT350 is actually cheaper at sticker price, which makes it worth waiting for.

I have had my GT350 for a week. I drove one of my GT500s yesterday w 640HP.

GT350 for sure, but i have never driven a current R3.

One is a knife the other a hammer. Depends on your preference.

I'd tend to agree they are different beasts.

The GT350 will be track focussed, first and foremost. The Roush, whilst still nicely upgraded in terms of handling, will still be primarily about speed/performance.

I've always thought the S197 Roush RS3 was a good competitor to the S197 GT500. Roush seems to have kept the same ingredients for S550 (and that's no bad thing!).

However, don't underestimate Roush. They do far more development for Ford than many realise.

What I'd love to see would be a Roush RS3 v Steeda Q750 shootout. That'd be a tough choice :headbang:

I agree that an RS3 is still "just a GT w/ bolt-ons" at the end of the day.

On the other hand, my local dealer has loads of 2015 Roushs that don't appear to have moved in quite a long time. Only a couple RS3s though, the rest are the lower RS, RS2 which are mainly appearance packages. Still, I'm sure they could be had for a killer deal.

I'm in for a RS3 vs GT350 comparison! Hopefully there will be enough of a demand/inquiry for someone to actually put it together.

Exactly!!! Well played sir. Roush puts more into their cars than people realize.
Just a "GT with upgrades", huh? I think not. I think the Roush engineers would disagree heavily as they have on Facebook.

Same here. That would be a good one for sure.

I wouldn't even compare the 2. Now don't get me wrong, roush stg3 is one fast arse car and special in it's own right but like the earlier poster put it, roush is just a upgraded GT. Just the 5.2 alone and capable to rev pass 9k rpm is just plane sickness! I would do the GT350 all day with my eyes closed.

Roush is Nice but I would still buy the GT350. I am a tuner convert. I used to own a S197 Saleen S281 supercharged. I sold it to help buy my GT350.

This one is easy.... GT350. Roush versions are cool but no way I'd pass on a GT350 for any Roush and I don't care if the Roush has 200+ more hp. A factory stock special edition such as this new GT350 is the way to go IMHO. Just the Voodoo sound alone is worth the decision.

The RS3 is more like an S550 version of the '13/'14 GT500. If you want big HP it's the way to go at this point in time.

The sticking point for me is that the Roush cars won't hold their value the way the GT500 did or the GT350 will. An RS3 is a modified GT, and that's all there is to it. If you're in it for the long haul it's a good buy. If you're going to trade it in a couple of years you're likely to loose your shirt.

That's tough, I like the Gt350 look way better, but since I will rarely track the car I think I'd enjoy the increased HP more. I actually really don't like the look of the roush. I'd rather get a GT premium and put a SC on it, so I guess I'd go Straight regular gt and mod or GT 350.

No one is knocking Roush nor a stock GTPP here. Roush may do a lot of R&D but how many RS3's have you seen on the Gring or Laguna Seca? The 350 has been massaged and improved upon for the past 3 years. The engine has more R&D than the current RS3 powertrain.

The RS3 is a tuner car... Will never be anything different.

I am selling my RS3 for the GT350 I have on order.
For track days, the Roushcharger gets heat soaked and you have to get it cooled down to get full power back.
I am not expecting to have any problems like that in the GT350. Also, I ordered the Track Pack, so have the extra coolers that will be great for Track Days!
