I would love to see those minor defects sitting in my garage right now. Instead I'm waiting for a ship date.

Body panels, paint, high speed/volume production line are shared with the $20k Mustang/Fusion after all so those pics show pretty minor issues.

If I spent that kind of money on a car, everything better be perfect. We are talking about a top tier product from Ford. Not the fiesta.

I think it is amazing the excuses some people will make for a manufacturer. If I'm paying a large chunk of money for something whether it's a car, house, etc. I would expect the level of quality to be high. If a company is allowing a sloppy product to get out, whether it's a $20k Mustang or a $60k Mustang, that's bad on them. I get that they aren't going to catch every minor issue but if people were finding this in '15s when they just came out and they couldn't take the time to fix some of those issues and we just keep giving them a pass and saying oh well it's the motor that counts, then they are just going to keep doing it. Sorry, but I'm not throwing down big money on just part of the vehicle, it's the whole package I'm buying.

Considering ford let it away from the factory with those flaws, I certainly would not trust them to try and fix the issues. I know from experience, my car was as bad as yours, maybe worse. The employees at Flat Rock should be embarrassed. My coworker has a cheapo base 2014 Hyundai that has much better fit and finish.
I had a buddy buy a 15, first comment he mentioned to me was "man I like my car but it looks like Stevie Wonder assembled it"

That said, my car still gets boatloads of positive comments, most people won't notice, but "car guys" likely will.

That dealership must have a blind guy doing PDI.
The GT350 we have at our dealership here in Baton Rouge, LA is immaculate. I do not care for the look/quality of the stripes but ours are aligned properly.
We also do not have any irregular body alignments on ours.

I can post pics if anyone is curious

Well - I don't think anyone had refused to see additional pictures of GT350s! :)

Funny, they all look pretty much the same but we drool over every new pic! :hail:

I don't care what the brand is. I have a 1956 all original ford f100. And when I say all original I mean paint, engine, trans, chassis, brakes etc. it has just over 27000 miles on it and with the original paint compared to today's vehicles is pretty good. Especially considering this is a 1956 truck which was built for work, today's standards are higher. That's why we have QS9000 Q1 etc. I myself am a picky person and in my business I put in more then what I receive back as my payment. The difference is I'm the only one doing my business, not 1000s of employees for me. But I still expect fine results from a company like ford no matter what the cost of the vehicle is. Period.

Just look at it as if your wife made the purchase. For example, if your wife bought a sofa for 2k and the right arm had a crooked stitch, would she accept it? NO WAY
Suppose she bought a dinette set for 1k and one chair wobbled, would she accept it? NO WAY!

it doesn't matter what price you pay, if it's new you should expect everything to line up. Durability would be less in a cheaper model, but fit and finish is what makes the sale, it should line up.

Average car price in the US is $32k. A base ss camaro is around $37k and I have had and seen my share of GM cars. $11k more for the Mustang is not to increase build quality, paint quality, etc. Let's be reasonable.
