have you sent lund logs during the occurrence for them to fine tune it, the tunes are constantly evolving on these things
I've sent them about 15 to 20 logs of the bucking over the last 4 weeks. Had 4 new revisions and still not able to fix it. They claim that they don't have any other bucking issues with the same tune I started with. So they didn't want to waste time trying to solve it, and blamed the install and surge valve. But have since tried to solve it and asked for more datalogs and I was happy to make it happen. No luck so far, so they are now blaming surge valve again. Procharger guys say 100% not a surge valve problem. They say it's a tune problem.

Lund Remote tuned with the specs below.

Car is a PP car (manual w/ 3.73 gear) and BUCKs and SURGES like an SOB. Horrible part throttle driving that has yet to be corrected by the tuner. They keep blaming the Surge Valve. ProCharger keeps blaming the tune. So FRIGGIN frustrating.

1. Kit: HO kit with D1SC
2. Boost: 8-9 psi
3. 4.38" Pulley
4. 93 octane - 10% Ethanol
5. 604 whp/480 ft lbs (Dynojet STD correction)

It is a late production kit, bought a couple months ago. Has the upgraded intake tube that fits very good. Easy to install.

I have a hard time believing that ANYONE with a manual trans PP car has NO BUCKING at all with a Lund tune. UNLESS you have breathers on the car, disabled IMRC or swapped to a 11-14 manifold.

ANYONE????
I have absolutely ZERO bucking /surging with the Lund tune.

Which injectors are you running? I have the ID1000's. But if I'm being fair, even with the Procharger tune and supplied 52# injectors, the surging was minimal and acceptable.

I have the pcv system set up as indicated in the Procharger manual and am right at 8 psi of boost through the P1SC headunit.

I am running the FRPP 52# injectors (13-14 GT500 injector) same ones that are used in the PC Complete kit.

I have the PCV and IMRC system plumbed per the ProCharger instruction manual, as well as the surge valve piping. I did run the signal hose to the bypass valve towards the ProCharger head unit, so it was a shorter run. I did this when I was checking over the install to make sure it was done right. I made the signal hose shorter by about 8 inches. I also tied up the surge valve to the headlight area, to make sure it didn't move and the linkage would always be free to move (just incase).

There is no way in the world, anyone could drive in my car and say that is "Acceptable" or "normal". They would say, "What the HELL is wrong with your car" And if they were drinking a drink, they would have it all over them.

I know John changed my cam timing and my surge problem is 95% gone.

When we had the "surge/buck" it was the cam timing that moved to the most.
After they stopped moving, the surge/buck was gone, or 99% none existent.

Looks like you all basically have the same car, same kit, same everything.

Should be driving identical.

Just had a guy in the other thread stating his car drives as good as stock, if not better. (and another in PM's state his is awesome as well)

Something is odd.

Have you checked the vacuum line going to the Bypass valve to make sure its not pinched. Or maybe the bypass valve is stuck shut, or open for some reason. (its rare, but it "can" happen)

The cam timing change moved my entire powerband lower in the rpm range. Car starts to pull hard in the 3500-4000 range.

Killer! I knew people would be able to have fun with them (the cams) after time went on, and more miles got put on these things.

So awesome!

I have checked, double checked and checked again, and the valve and line are good. No kinks and the surge valve is cable tied up under the headlight where the actuator linkage is free to move and it cant move to a position where the linkage is bound from moving.

The surge valve and tune works good as long as I don't upshift. I've kept it in 3rd and 4th gear on and off the throttle trying to get it do it, and it works perfectly hauls ass, stops, hauls ass and stops just like it's supposed to do.

Btw, mine must have cam timing changed too, because I've got all kind of tire shredding low end. The 3.73 and slightly shorter tires also helps, but it's very responsive low end torque.

I think I need to have them send me your exact tune, yet change the injector data and see how it does on mine.

Sounds like the best idea, since you two have the same "hardware" as far as supercharger parts go.

Except he has a P1SC and I have a D1SC. From your Tech guys at PC the boost curve is different on the 2, even if running the same boost pressure.

2015 GT PP 6spd, IM running HO kit, D1SC head unit, FRPP 52# injectors, KB boost-a-pump, 4.1 pulley, long tubes, and 3" MBRP Race. I'm not running PCV into intake, but still have IMRC hooked up. not tuned by Lund. My is tuned by Dynotune Motorsports , Brian Turner, he has tuned all my cars and bikes. i have zero drivability issues, no bucking, surging, whatever. car drives like stock out of boost. car made 631rwhp 526rwtq, on 93, with 14 degrees of timing

I have same setup as Toothless except I have P1SC. It does the same thing. Lund told me to check vacuum line and BOV. Hopefully I will be doing this weekend. Besides this car runs awesome.

By such a small amount, unless you had testing equipment and a loaded test cell, with constant temperature you "might" be able to see the difference.

In reality there is no difference at all. (they are actually the same impeller, the P-1SC-1 is just cut down a tiny tiny tiny amount) ;)

So no there really is no difference, nothing at all that would cause a tune difference. Nothing at all.
