Drop the PP. got on a test drive and see if you like it. The PP in my mind is over hyped. The gears are to tall for me. I have 3.31s and I'm in 5 at 40 cruising. The fast guys I know in the 1/4 are running 3.31 M6 (12.20 tune) I did purchase a PP splitter for the front. The front brake 14's PP brakes and they're not as touchy, but work great and weight less. Or wait. I couldn't like you and it's my commuter right now. Since it's my fail car, in my mind I'm far happier then I would be with the PP. If you reall want those brakes you can get them for less then a G if your dealer is cool.
I think you are right, my problem in that the non-pp car is more expensive than what my ordered car is. It lacks the PP option I would pay for and has the 401a, California Special and adaptive cruise that I won't pay for. I get a-plan pricing, so the dealer doesn't have much room. I told them I would pay less for the car than what I ordered, we will see what they come up with.

If you get a plan can you go to another dealer? There is over ten to choose from in 70 mile radius from me. I do only use one dealer that's something I do understand. I also wouldn't want to pay more for the car I wast planning to get. I was in a very similar situation. I got lucky and got a less expensive car I possibly like more then the car I ordered. The worst thing you can do Is make a decision you regret. Drive them all before you sit down. There is a wide tolerance in these cars. Some drive better then others.

My dealer is trying to talk me into sacrificing either the convertible or the PP to get an existing car off of the lot. They took the loaner back and I have to buy something today. Trying to decide if it is one of those Mustangs, a 2015 CamarI since they are 20% off, or a cheap beater and wait on my car.

I tried to buy a cheap used car from my dealer and have them give me what I paid them back in trade in, but they refused. I would have to take the $1k+ hit and they would make the extra money.

Frustrating.....

You never have to buy something today.. Not really. And to quote Johnny Cash--"you try to put the screws on me and I'll screw right out from under you."

It's a beauty. Glad they are giving you the rental until it is ready.

Hello!

I am new to the forum. I just placed my order today for a 2016 GT Coupe with the Performance Package. Black/Black.

Needless to say I am quite excited haha.

But when you do get it you'll be glad you waited to get exactly what you wanted. Looks great!

Well I'm off on a 600 mile round trip road trip to pick up a Magnetic GT Premium with PP and Nav. It is identical to the one I ordered except for the nav. Wish me luck! Pics later. The one I oredered isn't going to be ready for a month according to the dealer. Screw it. the wait it over!

I think I learned an important lesson. Never order a car. Just look around online for the exact one you want and go buy it.

Here it is at the dealer:

I'm never buying a car off the lot again that's been test driven by god knows who, sat in and groped by anyone but me, lol. I hate the waiting for the car to be built and shipped but hate the thought of some idiot test driving a car that I'm purchasing like an asshat more. I like the fact that I can order my car exactly how I want it regardless of the wait time. I'm not patient and I am climbing the walls waiting for my car to be trucked from the rail yard to the dealership. It arrived on Wednesday night and got unloaded from the rail car Thursday night and I just heard from the dealer that my paperwork was overnighted from Ford yesterday and will arrive tomorrow and my car hasn't hit the dealership yet. I'm hoping both arrive tomorrow, if they don't I will not be able to pick it up until the weekend because of work and I don't want to take delivery in the dark, I have a long checklist and I will never pick up a new car at night again.

Care to share your checklist?

Go read the Technical subforum "Issues, repairs, and recalls" all of the known issues are posted there. But just to name a few; body panel alignment, trunk and hood alignment, door alignment, weather stripping, check wheels for gauges and scratches, dash board bubbles, scratches on aluminum dash, leather, and interior plastic trim and chrome, leather seat fit, drive line vibration, brake squeal, tire pressure.

I finally picked mine up today!!!! I have been driving it nonstop since the pickup. I guess my dealer was right about the recall being fixed...or they lied.

The only problem was paint damage on the passenger side lower door panel.

Stay strong the remaining 9/28 build week survivors.
Glad you were able to get yours. Mine is still sitting outside at the dealer waiting for parts to arrive that aren't expected until the end of the month. We went to visit it the other day and there was moisture inside of the back window. Hard to tell if there is seal issue or if someone left a window cracked open when I can't even get the car home yet.
