So those cars that made it to the dealership can't be picked up at all? I wonder if the cars that left directly from the plant a few days ago will also have to stay at the dealerships until Nov 30.

The way I understand it, Olla, the cars that either stayed at the factory or got shipped back to it got the part replaced and will be ready to take delivery at the dealerships. The cars that got stuck at holding facilities that were closer to the dealer are slotted to get "fixed by the dealer" which is a tall task considering they don't know which parts to fix, don't have replacement parts, and don't have instructions on how to fix it.

Without this forum and you I'd be in total darkness on this whole deal. After learning yesterday that the car I ordered had been delivered to the dealership on Monday I decided to send the dealer a not so pleasant email (even though I knew I couldn't get the car because of the recall).

The sales guy, who I haven't spoken to since the day I ordered the car, called me back within about an hour. He apologized and said they'd start looking for another car. There's only one coming to a dealer within 60 miles of me that has what I want and it's still at the factory in Michigan. He doesn't know, and I didn't tell him, that I have already inquired with the other dealership about that car.

So, we'll see what happens. At least this seems to have lit a small fire under their butts to do something for a change.

Just got word from the dealer that mine came in. Unfortunately we're in Mexico depleting their Corona reserves. Car will have to sit there a couple more days.

There sits my car...at the dealer and got to sit in my car, but can't drive it. I guess they are giving me a rental until it is ready.....

I am new to the forum. I just placed my order today for a 2016 GT Coupe with the Performance Package. Black/Black.

Needless to say I am quite excited haha.

I finally picked mine up today!!!! I have been driving it nonstop since the pickup. I guess my dealer was right about the recall being fixed...or they lied.
The only problem was paint damage on the passenger side lower door panel.

Stay strong the remaining 9/28 build week survivors.
Was it addressed for you, Digope? Let me know if you need me to escalate it.

Well I'm off on a 600 mile round trip road trip to pick up a Magnetic GT Premium with PP and Nav. It is identical to the one I ordered except for the nav. Wish me luck! Pics later. The one I oredered isn't going to be ready for a month according to the dealer. Screw it. the wait it over!

I think I learned an important lesson. Never order a car. Just look around online for the exact one you want and go buy it.

Holy crap! I haven't heard from the dealer but the owners website shows the recall lifted on my Mustang. Not on ETIS though. Could be a good week.
Whoa! Me too! Wonder what that means.
Recall is gone for my car on owner.Ford.com, but still shown on the etis website.
Hoping this is good news. My car at the dealer and ready for me to take delivery as soon as the recall issue is taken care of.
six hours later on the owner website the recall notice has come back!!!!!!!!
Who do I believe now?
I checked them and they all still show the recall, guys.

I love how the CO pops with the PP wheels! At least yours arrived, I really hope the fix comes very soon. I feel for you, it's always a bummer when something like this happens and causes delays. The way Ford handles parts is horrendous! I just can't believe there's so many parts on back order but they have plenty of parts to keep producing cars but none for the cars that arrive broken from the factory. Seriously though, Mark Fields is ruined Ford, customer service took a real hit with him in charge.

As I have said before, I love Mustangs but loathe Ford as a company. I put up with Ford because of my love for Mustang and you get so much bang for your buck, anything with similar specs elsewhere is $30k+ more. It wouldn't be so bad if Ford dealership service departments weren't so incompetent, most have been complete imbeciles, in my experience. The good ones are too far and few between. Ford will not be servicing my car unless it's a recall or a serious warranty issue and I am getting a dash cam and I will see what they do with my car.

Mine still hasn't been delivered from the rail yard to the dealership and I'm getting impatient. Even if it arrives in next couple of days, I won't have time to go pick her up until the weekend.

That is one hell of a good-looking automobile. Hope the seat belt issues are resolved for you asap.

Thanks guys! At least our cars are making it to the dealer. 10 weeks ago I ordered it, what a ride it has been lol. Hopefully the parts come in soon for all of us.

When I ordered mine, there was only one option I was willing to consider.... Competition Orange baby!

It looks awesome, not to mention it helps visibility to other motorists. Just like "loud pipes save lives", "bright colors save cars"
