What dealer are you getting it from?

Auto Nation Ford in Delray.

I was working with Auto Nation (in a different city) and they wouldn't budge on price. Back to the drawing board.

Auto Nation Ford in my area seems to believe either customers have never heard of Google or customers wouldn't think to use it to know what is a fair price for a Mustang.

I got them to come down a bit in price but they jacked up the document fees. They want to charge $499 for doc fees?!?!?! They said it is normal.

When I went to AutoNation Ford in my area, they told me that orders had to be sold for MSRP. They said it was a rule enforced by Ford.

Just got word from the dealer that mine came in. Unfortunately we're in Mexico depleting their Corona reserves. Car will have to sit there a couple more days.

Do you know if the dealer can actually deliver your car to you, or does it still have the seatbelt issue?

Supposedly it's fixed. Not sure I should drive anything the first few days after this trip!

My dealer is trying to sort something out. I spoke to the Manager a minute ago and he said that he was told the parts would be coming before the 11/30 date. I suggested to him that since he has more than one car affected by this recall that he maybe try to get Ford engineer to come out to his lot to inspect the cars. He had not thought of that and was going to give it a shot. I really don't have the energy to go out of town to buy the same car that is literally parked 3 miles from my house at the moment. I've waited this long, a few more weeks isn't going to kill me.

-----

Update, the manager just called me back saying that a senior Ford person called him to say that under no circumstances will any engineers be coming out to inspect seatbelts for this recall. They have no ETA on parts and he said he "thinks" he can have my car to me by the beginning of December. What a disappointment.

So is the car fixed from the plant?

Yes, before it was released. The recall no longer shows for my VIN so either mine was inspected and didn't have an issue or it was fixed.

Mine is a replacement vehicle under the FL Lemon law and Ford must deliver by 11/17 or they are in breach of the arbitrator's decision. When I heard it was being held at the plant I contacted the RAV department and they had it escalated with management. It was released 2 days later and shipped.

My dealer is trying to talk me into sacrificing either the convertible or the PP to get an existing car off of the lot. They took the loaner back and I have to buy something today. Trying to decide if it is one of those Mustangs, a 2015 CamarI since they are 20% off, or a cheap beater and wait on my car.

I tried to buy a cheap used car from my dealer and have them give me what I paid them back in trade in, but they refused. I would have to take the $1k+ hit and they would make the extra money.

Frustrating.....

Drop the PP. got on a test drive and see if you like it. The PP in my mind is over hyped. The gears are to tall for me. I have 3.31s and I'm in 5 at 40 cruising. The fast guys I know in the 1/4 are running 3.31 M6 (12.20 tune) I did purchase a PP splitter for the front. The front brake 14's PP brakes and they're not as touchy, but work great and weight less. Or wait. I couldn't like you and it's my commuter right now. Since it's my fail car, in my mind I'm far happier then I would be with the PP. If you reall want those brakes you can get them for less then a G if your dealer is cool.
