Just what I was looking for, Any issues with the black finish? or is it a pretty tough coat? I was only worried that it would be easily scratched....

So far so good, you mount it on the passenger shock tower so it is away from everything.

That looks like a lot of oil. Is there something going on with the piston rings?

the amount you accumulate has a lot to do with your driving style, climate, and oil type used

that is a lot of oil

Hey Boosted Orange, where did you happen to get the 1/4 ball valve? have you had any issues with the oil leaking from it? Thank you.

Looks like the Dual Valve Catch Can is doing it's job. These cans pick up a lot of oil on any style of driving. These ecoboost motors really do push a lot!

Thanks for the post Greg!!

I think this is an unfavorable view, but I believe that the catch cans generate extra oil simply because of the temperature differences. In other words, they pull oil out of the vapor that is harmless to the engine as designed.

I am still very impressed with the live teardown Ford did of the 3.5l ecoboost a few years back, and things bad to have only improved since then.
