The only way to know whether we have been shafted or not is to list the dealer we ordered our car from and the date of that order. That will give us some indication whether our orders are in the correct sequence or not.

I fully realise that, but it would be nice to know with 100% accuracy. Either that or just forget about the whole thing and stop talking about it.

considering there's potentially 173 cars shipping Tuesday, I don't think you'd get a large enough sample from this group to make that assertion.

To top it off, the other dealer I ordered car #2 from told me just recently that their initial batch has a December delivery.

Only reason I didn't go with them initially was that the other dealer was the ONLY one willing to guarantee me a October/November delivery. Printed on contract. Hence why I was willing to pay the extra $1000 for a deposit versus other dealers I went to with no guarantee.

Funny that now the no-guarantee dealers with lower deposit have cars arriving in December.

EDIT: I can even show you a scan of my contract dated January 2015. Not sure why anyone is even thinking that we HAVEN'T been shafted in terms of the queue.

I was the 11th order at my dealership and was originally given an EDD of June 2016.

My dealer was originally only allocated two cars per month.

My EDD was bumped up to February 2016 once it became apparent how many Australian pre-orders were made (twice that of the UK). It would appear that Ford US increased Australian allocations due to demand, hence the improved EDD's for many of us.

I can see that the order dates, build dates and delivery dates are all over the place and bear no relation to each other or reality or the price of eggs, so I think I will go back to watching the Gold Coast 600 motor race practice. At least that is real!! Thanks to those that answered my question.

Here's a possible explanation on the fumigation requirement; so if your vehicle does not make it onto the Parsifal you can blame the Brown Marmorated Stink Bug:

Hapag-Lloyd informs about new regulations.

We would like to inform you that as a result of significant interceptions in Australia of the Brown Marmorated Stink Bug (Halyomorpha halys), the Australian Government of Agriculture has implemented a pre-shipment fumigation requirement on all break bulk and containerized vehicles (including boats), machinery, automotive parts, and tires moving from the United States to Australia.

This requirement covers all cargo departing from the US East Coast ports and arriving in Australia from February 23, 2015 onwards. This requirement will be extended to all US ports for cargo arriving in Australia from March 9, 2015 onwards.

All break bulk cargo (including machinery, vehicles, vessels, and automotive parts) and containerized vehicles, machinery, automotive parts, and tires are required to be:

Treated prior to shipping
Accompanied by a certificate of efficacy outlining the treatment completed
Subject to on arrival inspection as determined by the Australian Government Department of Agriculture
Mandatory treatments must be applied to:

All break bulk vehicles (including boats), machinery, automotive parts within 96 hours prior to loading
Containerized shipments of vehicles (including boats), machinery, automotive parts, and tires within 90 days prior to shipment providing containers are immediately sealed and arrive in Australia “seals intact”.
Please note that fumigation is the sole responsibility of the shipper or their designated agent for both CY and door shipments. The requirement extends to cargo loaded in consolidated shipments as well as for full container loads.

It is anticipated that this emergency measure will be in place until at least the end of April 2015.

1 if any of the 180 odd units on the WW website classified as "booked" progress to "loaded"
2 Will there be any more late arrivals (including mine ) as in Feb the 1st shipment was expected to consist of about 250 for NZ and about 1100-1200 for OZ so they are miles short at this time

the next 36 hours will tell us a lot

Just received confirmation from Deysha that my car has arrived in Baltimore today (27th of Oct). The shipping tracking list hasn't updated yet but I'm hopeful that my car might make the first ship load..

Bruce got told this afternoon by the dealer sales manager that nothing is shipping on the Parsifal and the cars booked on it will be assigned to the next boat and that the Fidelio leaving Nov 8 and the Tarago leaving Nov 20
should both be heavily loaded with our cars
Lets hope somebody gets something correct sometime!
