Were going to have to agree to disagree. Even on an open highway. A supercharged GT will destroy a Stock GT350. It's not like a GT is hay wagon a far as suspension is concerned. Your going to need a pretty twisty road to truly exploit what a GT350 has to offer. Maybe on a road like the tail of the dragon. Or maybe a canyon road in California? You can enjoy the huge power and torque of a supercharged GT every time you mash the throttle But there just isn't enough twisty roads out there to simulate a road course environment like the GT350 is meant for in most of America. Here in Jersey you'll run out of gas looking for a twisty road. And for every one state that is know to contain roads that are a spirited drivers paradise. There are five that are as flat as Idaho or Texas.

Again, that is all true, but so what? I'm hopeful that people buying the GT350 aren't really focused on drag racing, as it's really a waste.

Different cars for different demographics. If people can't see that about the GT350, google is your friend. Wait for the GT500 for the Ford-engineered, monster HP S550.

it has an engine!
I hope some of you realize there was a thread with a poll taken here that asked if people were going to supercharge their gt350. I think some of you might be surprised how many people will do this. Plenty of people took their 302 bosses snd turned them into full blown drag cars instead of its intended purpose too. This car will be no different

Do you read what someone elsetypes or do you just type "so what" as your standard response? I said there are roads where the GT350 will out shine a mega powered GT. but those roads are few and far between in most states! Everyone understands the GT350 is a purpose built car. Track monster! We get it. But as a daily driver .....meh.

Lol. It's faster than a stock or bolt-on GT (non-FI), and sounds a lot better while doing it. Guess those are meh daily drivers too. It might not be fair to judge until you've actually driven it. Some of us have.

According to the magazine reviews so far. It's really not as fast as a tuned GT. But this thread is about supercharged monsters. Not minor bolt on GTs.

Ford racing or steeda complete handling package including shocks and springs, a whipple super charger, heavy duty clutch, tremec trans, full light weight exhaust with headers, carbon fiber shaft, light weight wheels with more rubber, intake, tune, cloth recaro/ sparco seats, rear seat delete, and a base gtpp!

Add some real aero upgrades and a racer spoiler for down force. With that combination, you might actually beat a gt 350 r on a road coarse!

It's all about how one chooses to get their thrills. If you want straight line speed, and are okay with modding, supercharged GT has got to be the way to go. If you want to stay stock, drive a more rare car, and carve up the back roads GT350 sounds like the winner.

This is easy. If you are going to road course the car or do auto x, or basically want a Shelby then a GT350 is for you.

I'm a drag racer. I have never been on a road course. I would like to go, but I truthfully cannot afford freely what the clubs around S. FL charge to get out there.

So for me, it would be a GTPP /w FI Whipple or a Hellion kit.
