Long time lurker, made the account b/c im running out of options.

I live in SoCal and have been calling dealerships for about a month (15 or so dealers).

Im getting quotes anywhere from 15-30k ADM on non R versions.

I was wondering if anyone had any luck finding anything better than that? I think if i want to stay local I will either have to pay ADM or wait a year until things settle down.

Anyone getting better luck?

I've only been looking for Rs but, in a word, no. You can include Arizona & Nevada and the rest of Californa as well. Weather sure is nice though.

Yes, if I was willing to pay a $10K ADM ... which I will not do.

I'm attempting to source one out of state, or simply wait until the hype fades.

By this time you'd be better off looking for a 2017 allocation somewhere out of California.

Has it come to that now?? Down to a few 2016s with high ADM?

I had noticed a few signatures of members saying they put deposits on 2017s.

I guess I really was lucky 10 days ago when I got a car for 2016.

There are still cars out there, but they are getting increasingly harder to find at good prices. I still get a few calls a week from dealers that were clueless when I conducted my search in early June.

Go Midwest & beyond. Unless you have very deep pockets, this far west is a done deal. Dealers in SoCal are demanding up to 25K over msrp. Don't give up. We'll have to try a little bit harder, that's all.

I have been fortunate and have a msrp deal on a Non R Tech pack ordered to my specs. That said, I've been on it since the first rumors of a flat plane crank surfaced. This was way before my dealership had any idea this car was on the horizon.

Good luck, at this point it's going to be rough.

There will be many dealer ordered white with blue stripe GT350s sitting on lots while dealers figure out there are only so many whales to go around.

Don't count on that because most dealers are only getting one @ a time . As soon as it hits the floor it will be gone if the ADM is lower then $7K. These cars are being spead out over 7 months or more.
Buying one for MSRP is a thing of the past for awhile.
If you look @ the vin report there are 30% white cars ordered. Those are not dealer orders only. So there will not be a ton of whales sitting on dealer lots. If you have 10 sitting in the LA , Calf. lots only 3 will be white and no body knows if those are pre sold.

We've heard all this crap from the retailers many times before. Fold up your wallet, enjoy some other toys and find an environment that will likely be far more buyer friendly in a year.

Best I could do was give up on California. Have a 16' ordered from Oklahoma, where I only had to pay the dealers $1,000 program buy-in. So in the end, I am basically paying a $1,000 - $2,000 markup after plane flight and gas to get the car back.

Best I could do in California was a $10k ADM.
