Hey guys having a hard time deciding on what to do was looking for your guys opinion. Should I supercharge my current gt pp or trade in when I'm able to find a Shelby for msrp. If I keep my current mustang I'm figuring it'll cost about 9k for supercharger+ install plus catback system around $1500 and I'd like to get lighter wheels and new tires which I'm guesstimating will be around $2500. So around 13k for all the mods I would want where as if I got the Shelby I would leave it stock and would only cost me about 10k more for a base model. Pros and cons guys ?

it has an engine!
It depends what you want to do with the car. Do you care more about handling or more about fart around town, highway, and some drag racing?

I do not have the luxury to choose because the Shelby is not avaible in europe but it would have been my first choise.

If you are a road course/auto-x guy, the GT350 or the GT350R car is your choice. But, you have to be careful with those tires on the R car. Those tires have to be taken off the car and stored away in a room that is 32 degrees or higher, EVEN if you aren't driving the car in the winter months.
So that being said, the GT350 is probably a better choice.
Good luck.

you will probably loose 10k on your trade in so factor that in.

It depends on what you want and end goals. I'm not doing many auto x or road courses so a supercharged gt is more of what I want. Plus, I enjoy destroying hellcats and z06s in a straight line.

As much as I'd love to have a GT350. I've always been a drag racer and I personally would enjoy the Supercharged GT more. If your into car shows the GT350 will garner more attention there. Violent straight line speed GT! Track days and car shows GT350. Everyday livability as a daily driver I'd expect it to be a wash.

Driving every day on the street, the supercharged GT will give you much more usable straight line acceleration.

I would buy the GT350 not even a comparison in my mind just because of the engine noise with the FPC and active exhaust. But I also think Magneride is almost a must have, because of the tunability of the suspension. So that would change the $$ equation a lot. I think the GT350 will cost more but will also hold its value more, so you will get more of your money back when you sell.

I also wouldn't want to spend the money or time to install the supercharger. I'd rather buy something built from the factory rather than such a major modification. Especially when you have to grind down big aluminum bosses on the engine block. I guess I'm just a timid person in that way. Plus I start thinking about resale value - having a mod like that will discourage many buyers. You could plan to remove the blower prior to selling the car and then lie by omission and not tell the potential buyer you had a blower on it, but that's a lot more work to do as well - plus for me I need to keep as much positive karma in my life as possible. Depends on how much spare time you have and whether that time is valuable to you, I guess.

I'm with bluebeastsrt - I also am more of a drag racer at heart than a road coarse guy. Don't get me wrong I like corners but straight line acceleration is my addiction. So i would go with the SC if hellcat, Z06 conversations is what your after - That's the direction I am going. Also there are a lot of SC options out there where you do not have to grind on block.

agree with the guy from earlier, you are going to take a nice hit on the trade-in. Find out how much you can get for your current car, then decide from there if it's worth it or not.

I really, really, really want a GT350, but for my intended use I'd be far better off supercharging what I have.

The Voodoo would be sweet most of all, but the rest would be wasted for me, I'm afraid. And I just can't see a ~$20K bump in expense to have a lesser interior.
