I imagine that the 4 seconds faster lap time over a GT350R is going to cost somewhere in the neighborhood of $10k - $12k per second for that car.

Nice vehicle though.

There is not question the GT350R did a lap around 7:29. That was a time recorded by a local club. It was reported here and accompanied the HorsePower Kings 7:32.

I guarantee they can beat this M4 GTS at Nurburgring in a GT350R, set up in the same fashion.

That would be great...what impresses me though is how little tire they did it with. A 265 front and a 285 rear, some 30mm less rubber than the GT350R, granted the M4 GTS also weighs quite a bit less.

The other thing is only 300 units to the US? This thing is going to cost a fortune...

I thought lap times were banned...
The lap times are allowed now but there were changes to the track. All old times don't relate to the new ones.

If so, then it's hard to know where this stands until others post times on the altered track.

^^^Absolutely. Even a standard M3/M4 is in another league. They are works of art and I can sit and stare at them all day long. Every detail has had attention. I spent about an hour sitting, walking around and exploring an m4 at a dealership a few months back. It wasnt nearly enough time.

The GT350 is an amazing car and I would give anything (outside of ADM) to get my hands on one...:D Outside of performance times and value, Ford and BMW have little in common. I've sat in a GT PP and a M235i convertible back to back. Anyone that thinks Ford/Chevy/Caddy are competing with BMW in the areas of fit finish and interior quality arent being honest with themselves (in my opinion). Craftmanship (not necessarily quality) is in another league. A comparable BMW is 10k more, however. Its evident where that money goes but the value definitely goes to Ford.

Funny...you altered your original post where you only put Mustang. Now you added GM/Chevy...Too funny. I wonder why you did that? Because you on a site dedicated to the 6G Mustang?

I also find it funny that on the Camaro site you list South East as your location but here you list it as North East? Why lie? I never understood the notion to be a troll and lie about ones information unless of course you are a troll.
You are silly...I thought about my post and then thought I would expand it. I included Cadillac because I think the premium US brands fall short of BMW craftsmanship as well. Have you ever edited a post to provide clarification or additional insight to the point you were attempting to make? Im sure you havent...

Im not a troll..When I sign up for a board I just go down through and make selections. In addition some of us might have moved as well..This is a free country you know and people do move with their jobs!

I do find it funny that you are labelled a troll on this board anytime you put an opinion that might run contrary to the belief by a very few on this board that Ford is 100% the top car across all areas and all brands. You cant say anything on this board that even resembles areas of improvement without the regulars that will attack. If the GT PP was "perfect" and there were no impossible improvements to be had then why did Ford build the GT350? Sigh....

By the way didnt you want an M3 while still claiming in multiple post to be a an absolute Ford loyalist "washed in the blue" through and through...What is it that you see in the last generation of BMW that attracts you. I mean the numbers are similar to the Mustang...Could it be the craftsmanship? You can look at BMW find value in it and potential areas of superiority but I cant? Interesting! Who exactly is the troll?

and by the way I edited this post to provide clarification and additional details...

You're a troll because you don't put factual information about yourself. That is why. What is there to hide? Put your car that you currently drive. Put factual information of your location?

I absolutely loved the E92 M3. Still do to this day. I love the high revving NA V8. The great handling, the looks of the car. I did not like the cost to mod the car. I actually tried to talk my wife into buying the one I test drove but she wanted a SUV and got a 2013 QX56. Which also has a 32V 400hp V8 with impeccable build quality.

How am I a troll? I have contributed a lot to this forum over the last 2 years. A ton. I don't hide anything about me. I don't like the Camaro, never have except for a couple of models from the last 60's and early 70's which I have stated 1000 times here.

Have a good day:headbonk:
Right... So you can find value in BMW and desire one but I am a troll when I discuss the values on this board? We have a term for that type of behavior where I come for and its called hypocrisy.

Does my opinion of cars really matter where I am from or where I moved from....Are you serious? If you moved would you go on every single message board and update your new location? Would you update every single car forum anytime you bought a new car? Have you filled in every single detail of every forum you have joined (even the optional sections)? It is possible that you may have too much time on your hands or simply care too much if the answer is yes to those questions.

I get on these boards to chat and pass information. I learn a lot. I dont claim to know everything. Its weird and foreign to me when some of you get wrapped up in a single brand and simply cant discuss any other brands virtues. So much so that you have to go research someone and try to out them as a "troll" for any opinion that differs from brand loyalty...

And yea have a good day...
