I see what you mean. That said, I wonder whether the top shot makes the Premium leather look less grained because it is slightly out of focus and in the bottom shot the Premium leather looks less grained because it is further away. Other than what we see from your photos are we definately sure there are two types of trim?

Haha! SSB - I like the chrome trim with the nickel wheels. A bit old school like me. The black trim goes well with the black wheels too though. Each to their own.

The premier seats/leather are only available in black/ebony and they have a tiny bit of extra stitching in the side of the seats... Plus a different perforation (bow tie).

The Italian twins photo doesn't show this very well but if you look closely at the first photo of the seats you will see the 'pack' has an extra 'area' stitched out on the far left of the seat...

I'll find some better pictures when I'm on the computer.

I read somewhere that one of the seat finishes was part vinyl - I'm pretty sure it was the premier trim option that did (as fitted to the custom pack).

Just wish there was an option to scrap the stock seats and get factory installed Recaro's.

apparently for everyday driving the recaro's are quite hard and difficult to live with, the bolsters are higher and generally not as good as the premium seats. for a track you would swap the seats with a proper one anyway and do away with the 20kg's of motors/electrics. i'm glad we dont get the recaro's over here. they scream out "boy racer" that pays more for a sparco steering wheel because he saw it on fast and furious. but still the option would have been nice lol.

Strongly disagree. Have never owned a car without factory recaro's tbh.

First car: Malaysian made hatch - Satria GTi 2 seater recaro's. Brilliant.
2nd car: Evo X - Even better recaro's.

We should definitely be given the option. I for one couldn't care less what someone else thinks of my cars options etc. After all, we are the ones who own/drive it, no?

i ordered some from the states to swap into mine when i get the car finally, now i'm considering not changing after sitting in them in my garage, i'm quite a bulky guy around the shoulders/chest, while i'm only a 36" waist, the seat fitted fine but the top bolsters felt a little too snug, over time it would wear out to be quite comfortable, and i may still get an upholsters to take it out a little bit, i was going to get them recovered anyway as i hate paying extra to be a billboard for a company. i dunno, just my preference after getting a set. maybe i'm just an old fart. also i dont know what we are getting in the way of electrics/memory seats or anything but the recaro's are just manual. and well pulling a lever to adjust a seat is soo 90's...

I'll be the only driver in my car, so won't be needing memory/electric seats to change it all the time.

I guess if you have other people using the car, electric seats makes it easy.

I've sat in an S197 GT500 with Recaros and the S550 premium seats in the TY demo car and the normal S550 seats were way more comfortable albeit lacking the bolstering of the Recaros.

It really depends on what you want from the car and what sort of driving you do.

I've owned two cars with Recaros, loved the seats in one and hated them in the other.

Not sure why you are stating this and making others think otherwise, but it's clearly stated we are getting "Driver and Passenger 6-way power seat with lumbar support" no mention of the memory function though.

Oh Az, maybe I am making false claims again, it didnt say: postively, shall be; must be. Since you have so clearly stated you know more about reading than I do, maybe you can re-read the Seats section of the Aus Mustang brochure and let me know?
