Not liking the sound of the Fixed Radio Antenna-Black.

Hopefully, this will be for the convertible only.

I got the convertible so my rear side window will go down :) Yours are stuck between the roof and car frame ;)

Well, I'm not "sure" you're not getting premier seats or if the OP just didn't order them, but he premier seats seem to have the "Natural Grain/ebony" for interior "fabric".

In the end though I don't think you'll be 100% until the car starts arriving in drivers hands...

Yea and the antenna should only be for the convertible, atleast none of the EU coupes have it :)

I'm thinking the upfitters are probably the ones seen from 3:15-5:05 of this video.

Can't believe how much driving they are doing in the cars. My last 2 new cars had less than 20km on the clock when I got them, but watching that video I think the Mustang will be delivered with more than that.

My biggest concern is how close they get to the paintwork when they are cutting that protective film to size!

Interesting part about the seats is the Australian brochure doesn't show one shot of the seats other than the convertible which is so far away (roof down, looking from above) that you can't see the grain of the seats. I've never seen a brochure of any brand that doesn't show an interior shot including the seats. That worries me. If they are going to be crap seats, they can stick their order.
Ian.

Like I've been saying Ian.

Welcome to Ford. Where quality control doesn't matter.

If you complain, here's the standard response you'll get:

"We understand your concern Mr.Ian, unfortunately, this is what we're giving you. If it's not what you expected,
feel free to cancel your order because I have 'X' number of other people who will still buy it, bye!"

PS: Not taking a shot at you. Basically passing on the exact line "I" got from my dealer when I asked/complained about anything.

Ian.

The inerior is the standard leather seats found on the Premium models in the states. Check the Ford US site, the options are; cloth, leather, premier trim (colour accent), leather/miko - california special package

UK has only the leather, with colour options.
EU has the option for premium pack, which gives the ebony premier trim.

It has always been my understanding we are getting the GT Premium with Performance package. Obviously, with some points excluded and no options.

The problem lies in the fact that even the Europeans were not aware of the difference between the normal and 'mustang pack' leather until the cars arrived and they did a comparison. UK is also unsure if the 'custom pack' means the finer grain leather, although it appears that all RHD cars will be the same, whatever that means. Post 56 onwards:

For Oz, the one size fits all approach doesn't necessarily mean they specced the base leather, because nothing clearly points to this or otherwise.

I went and asked Ford on FB yesterday anyway, we'll see what they respond with!

On a side note, I find this detective work hilarious and am only taking interest in it because it kills the time between the wait haha

What appears they are using (4:45 to 4:50) is a plastic decal applicator ( http://www.cutterpros.com/3m-pa-1-gold-applicator ), there would be very minimal risk of cutting the paint work with that, maybe a slight mark, that would easily buff out at best.

I agree with quick duck's comments above. I have done some detective work of my own and came up with page 8 on the US 2016 Mustang brochure (see URL below) that shows you all the trims used on their cars. Magnifying the leather trims shows up the texture and unless I am going blind, they all look the same to me, Normal or Premium. I also have a copy of the colours of the leather trims used in the UK cars in the form of an attachment below.

Yep, I've seen the brochures.

Now check these out, courtesy of the European section:

One's clearly different - the "mustang pack". This may be due to the "Premier trim- colour accent".

Also the saddle trim that the UK gets appears to be finer leather, although it's hard to confirm 100% due to photo resolution.

...though I'm not sure I can decode Trnd Mni Prf Ov Mld Pbl properly ;)
This detective stuff is fun.

Ian from that UK brochure document you attached, we can now see that the "Mni Prf Ov" stands for Mini Perf[orations] Over something something.

The UK brochure refers to 'Salerno' which could be leather from Italy or something. Perhaps that's the good stuff.

Don't know what Trnd Mld Pbl stand for.

I see what you mean. That said, I wonder whether the top shot makes the Premium leather look less grained because it is slightly out of focus and in the bottom shot the Premium leather looks less grained because it is further away. Other than what we see from your photos are we definately sure there are two types of trim, I mean grain-wise? I am sure there are two types, quality-wise. Secondly, why would they do that?
Ian.
