Etis requires a VIN to look up the information, your vehicle won't have one yet, the normally only issue them about a month out from production.

Thanks WILDB, I wish I ordered earlier, but I wasn't a believer that it was going to happen. I still have 9+ months to wait as I am in the second wave.

WHAT does ETIS stand for

Got an update from FordService over the weekend on my car.

No change... (i.e. car still waiting to go to the upfitter). Starting to get nervous about the 11th October ETA for arrival in Baltimore.

When did it get built? It'll take a fair while to be sent to the upfitter.

Built on 27 August. So seems like it is taking quite awhile to get to the upfitter.

Wow that's a month already. Unless your tracking info isn't 100% updated/accurate.

Mine was built on 4th August guys & sat for 6 weeks before going to the upfitters! Apparently the upfitters takes at least a week, then there's QC and the trip to Baltimore takes 5 days. Highly doubtful it'll make 11th October I'm afraid.
I don't even want to ask what my status is now, it went to upfitters on 18th Sept. I'm absolutely sick of the whole process.

There you go people. A more realistic wait time for the whole post-build upfitter situation.

Add all this up (with 6 to 8 weeks freight and customs) we're looking at 12 to 16 weeks from build date till arrival.

Same story for me - received a PM from Ford Service..car is waiting to go to upfitters..

Nothing new yet - your 'Stang is still in the production stage, with an ETA of 10/11/15 (subject to change). Check back with us sometime next week for the latest update. Have a great weekend!

Nick

I am still hoping that it still makes the port of Baltimore by the 11h Oct - but a bit worried it wont.

I wouldn't be surprised if they were waiting for enough cars to form a shipment whatever that is. It is just strange that finished cars should be waiting around. I would have thought that all the cars coming off the production line where the finished article. So what the hell is the "upfitters" supposed to be doing to our aussie cars? Think about it.
Ian.

Supposedly doing the trim.

Got this from google of a basic upfitting process:

The upfit consists of six main components: painting the chassis, mounting the service body, installing the LED lights, welding the hitch, and installing the cab guard and ladder rack.

EDIT: Yes that's for a pickup/ute, but you get the idea.
