Was looking at this as a visual deterrent as I personally don't like the OBD bypass system the thieving toerags use on the Ford ST and similar keyless start systems. Maybe even an OBD lock too.

Tri Yellow GT Auto - Black Race Stripes
Shaker Pro / Reverse Radar / Climate Seats
Extra stuff ordered so far - Covercraft HP fitted cover (Very Good Quality), Ford Rubber Boot Liner , JLT Oil Catch Can. Exhaust later depending on UK Legality, a few race systems have catalyst removed so nogo there(
Ordered - July 2015
Delivery - Spins the 2016/2017 lotto wheel --- And the number is --- ?

I scared myself earlier this year when reading about keyless car thefts. Apparently with a portable signal booster someone can stand next to your car as if they had the key on them, when in reality it's 30 feet away in your house. Sound's daft I know but would hate to be the victim of something like that. Stories of people keeping their car keys in the freezer! Or some kind of protective bag/box that blocks wireless signals.
Other than that I'm a light sleeper so if anyone does fancy a go, they will regret it :paddle:

Really worried about the security of the keyless locking/ignition . Appears to be many instances of peoples cars being electronically hacked. What was wrong with a normal key/remote and key start. I know a number of keys have a chip to disable the immobiliser but still seems more secure. To me keyless locking/ignition is nothing more than a gadget to show your mates.

Ha ha I'm glad I'm not the only one too! Usually "high end" cars targeted (Audi's, Range Rovers etc) but there is no doubt in my mind that the Mustang will attract attention, especially in the early days when they will be rare. In answer to the thread question - I haven't planned on using anything extra, but putting faith in the Ford security / alarm systems!

I assume removing the batteries from the key prevents this booster thing from happening? :D A bit of a pain in the a:censored:e and kind of defeats the point of keyless if you keep having to do that though.

You can buy cheap pouches to keep your fob in. Google RFID signal blocker.
That said, my wife's Nissan key barely works until you're sitting in the car.

I was looking at those as well, cheap & gives me a little peace of mind! :headbonk: I refuse to pay ÂŁhundreds extra on anti-theft if we are getting alarms anyway...

The pouches seem sensible.

The clifford device seems good too. I wonder how it knows when your car's been 'jacked'?

Also, imagine the scenario that it gets nicked from outside your house then abandoned a few yards away. Whats to say that they won't come back to your house to beat the PIN code out of you?

Has anyone actually confirmed if the Mustang uses the same system & can be intercepted as easily as the ST apparently can?
My past 3 cars have all had keyless entry, other than reading something ages ago about BMW being problematic (which i thought had been fixed via software?) its not something i've really heard about.

Only extra security i have is my F750 dashcam which has parking mode & motion detection .... oh yeah that doesnt work at the minute :) can't get the right fuse for constant power
