Wow I feel bad some if you have employees.

Imagine if we fired everyone out there who talked bad about their job of people they served because of the thought police and hidden recording. There would be no one employed in most industries like shipping/post office, fast food, restaurants etc. Most service industries. Believe it or not they talk bad about you behind your back and complain about bosses and their jobs!

Many many hypocrites here. Pretty sad. I hope any of you who work for someone else arent secretly and illegally recorded and then that used against you to fire you for your thoughts when alone too that you are calling for here.

That dealership is where I bought my truck from.
I agree with a few posts but he shouldn't be fired,he did nothing to his car and maybe was just having a bad day.

From the other thread on this (wish mods would combine these). The recording was done illegally per PA law (and most states too). The employee, upon learning of the video and reason for being fired, could very possibly find it online or is a member here and sue OP for illegally recording and subsequent loss of his employment, plus damages, attorneys fees, costs, etc. VERY bad slipper slope to start on.



Tell the service manager and ask them to say something but DO NOT coax this guy into getting fired. Nor is it fair for something said in complete privacy alone in a car.

I'm the one that posted the video. The camera was very obvious, not hidden. It makes noises and lights up when it turns on. He knew he was being recorded. In PA as long as they know they're being recorded it's legal. Nevertheless, I'm not going to use the video against the guy. I just thought it was funny. What he did was harmless. He's allowed to have an opinion. It may be unprofessional but I'm not the type to care.

I wouldn't want somebody like that driving my car. But if he's actually in a bad situation, I still hope he gets the help he needs.

I wouldn't go to the manager to get this guy fired, I probly don't even talk to him about it. But I do go to the guy/driver and let him know what I think about him. Maybe even make him sweat it some!!!

And to the person that keeps saying the recording was done illegally, the camera is hanging below the mirror (can't get the suction cup to stick on the blacked out "Ford" part of the windshield), and the camera makes noises and the screen lights up and shows it's recording on each start-up. It makes it's presence known. This combined with the fact that the guy was addressing me when talking is why I don't feel that the recording was wrongly obtained. If you're talking directly to a camera then you're obviously consenting to being recorded. Also, I don't want the guy to get fired, what he did was harmless and I just thought it was amusing. Don't plan to use this video against him in any way.

Yeah, it comes on automatically. It's the Vantrue R1 Pro.

I'd fire him based on the lack of professionalism. Whether he knew it or not (ignorance is not an excuse), he's the face of the company. Call me crazy but I don't think this portrays the company in a positive light. So long buddy
