Ok my problem is he did all this knowing there was a cam there, if he acted like this with it recording how do you think he would act without one there. Plain and simple disrespect

Nice how you don't know me. I in fact do own a business. No I would not be happy but would not fire over someone being ILLEGALLY RECORDED inside a car alone. The problem with your point is the employee did not know the owner. I would support an employee if a customer was berating/cursing them and they defended themselves. But this is not the situation. Self Righteous? You obviously have never started a company.
Doesnt matter because IT WAS IN PRIVATE ALONE IN A CAR. Skewing the facts doesn't make them facts any more. How many of you would tolerate him calling you a "jerk off" to your face like he did at the opening of the video?
Louisiana is a right to work state. (correction at will state) If I owned the dealership he would be fired. I am skewing nothing. The asshole knew what he was doing.Doesnt matter because IT WAS IN PRIVATE ALONE IN A CAR. Skewing the facts doesn't make them facts any more.
AGAIN same as the other thread this is NOT legal to use against an employee and many states require 2 party consent to record. PA would be one where this happened. An employer COULD NOT use this as a basis to fire an employee (unless it is an at will employment state that doesnt require cause).
And I hope next time you slip and have a bad day you lose your employment/business without a second chance for cursing; especially if it's in private by yourself. Oh wait you wouldnt do that to yourself now would you. It's hypocritical.Louisiana is a right to work state. If I owned the dealership he would be fired. I am skewing nothing. The asshole knew what he was doing.
It's just really sad people trying to get someone fired, lose his likely only source of income and maybe make him homeless, over saying something alone in the car alibeit illegally being recorded.LOL!! This forum never fails to amuse me. Take it easy fellas.
I know Louisiana law. So does my attorney who I would consult before firing this asshole. If you listen to the video he is addressing the owner. He knows he's being recorded .Actually I am a patient man. But have zero tolerance for disrespecting customers.Nice how you don't know me. I in fact do own a business. No I would not be happy but would not fire over someone being ILLEGALLY RECORDED inside a car alone.
AGAIN the law in most states requires 2 party consent to audio record someone (the video doesnt show a face so that's fine). It would be unusable to fire an employee in a state that requires cause or is not an "at will" employment state. I hope you actually read and know your state laws before doing business and having employees.
DISRESPECTING WHO. HE WAS IN THE CAR ALONE. Do you even hear yourself and how ridiculous your argument sounds?I know Louisiana law. So does my attorney who I would consult before firing this asshole. Actually I am a patient man. But have zero tolerance for disrespecting customers.
I agree and have said no one is perfect. Let's tape all them on a bad day and how many would have to fire themselves. You guys need to lighten up.
Lets tape some of you guys see what we get? Most likely it be the same funny sh*t .
Thread name should be change it's not mechanic who's driving the car
Would be a good test case. The dash cam is in open and clear view. In Louisiana you do not need a reason to fire someone. So in my little piece of paradise he would be gone.DISRESPECTING WHO. HE WAS IN THE CAR ALONE. Do you even hear yourself and how ridiculous your argument sounds?
This was ILLEGALLY recorded, period, no ambiguities. Read recording laws.
In fact here's a starting point for you https://www.rcfp.org/reporters-recording-guide/state-state-guide/pennsylvania
All of these people trying to use dashcams to catch dealerships during service will NEVER get that into evidence in any court case to use against the dealership in most states unless they told the dealership and person working on the car that it was recording. People are simply ignorant unfortunately.
totally agree. Get over yourselves people. Think about stuff you do when you think no one is watching. Internet outrage cultureIt's just really sad people trying to get someone fired, lose his likely only source of income and maybe make him homeless, over saying something alone in the car alibeit illegally being recorded.
Big deal he swore and called the car a piece of sh*t so what? If it wasnt for the illegal recording no one would have ever heard it being alone in a car. This wasn't in public or in front of a customer. Scold him a bit and move.
Just sad.
