I agree with Aussie Mate in reference to helping people predict timing - maybe a field for date of "Meet your New Mustang" email followed by VIN received date, window sticker received date, build date and shipping date and for the lucky one's ACTUAL received date - hope to be there sooner rather than later.:amen:

Yep, might set this one up as a standalone spreadsheet that anyone can edit. I'll let you all know when it's ready.

But it was a good idea.
I must admit I didn't see this post. The Post really needs a more descriptive name so that others do not miss it. Is there any way it can be updated so that it goes to the head of the post queue and stays there?

Hey Aussie Mate I see that you have stolen my idea.....lol. So guys go across to "Order tracking by dealer". You will see there my suggested breakdown of:
Order date:
VIN date:
VIN No (last 4 digits):
Window sticker date:
Build date:
Projected arrival date:

Yes - it was your idea from another post - full credit to MustangGT - sorry for not mentioning that. it was late and trying to post from my phone is difficult compared to the PC.

I thought it would be better to have all the information in one location / spreadsheet for us all to see and track.

I wonder if someone could make this thread a "stickly" in the Australian local section???

That is true Aussie Mate, but to be supposedly fifth in the queue and waiting around four months after the first ones are delivered is not fun. I am getting the feeling that maybe a few special customers may have been slipped in earlier or the orders weren't placed until sometime in 2015 and then in no particular order.
Having seen the car and it being such a beautiful thing , waiting is very difficult.

Bobsp12, Share your frustration. Lodged my interest with City Ford in December 2013 and after chasing the Sales Rep months later found he had left the Dealership. Finally dealt with someone who cared and they took a deposit December 2014 and received a contract March 2015.
Told I was 7th in the queue. Chased Ford via FB after dealer was unable to advise on VIN and received Hi Peter. NSC XXX has not gone into build as yet. A VIN is allocated to a vehicle once it hits the assembly line so it hasn't been generated quite yet. Suggest you touch base with us later in the year, we'll see where your vehicle is at and whether we have a VIN at that time. Thanks,
Dealer promised late November delivery but can't see this happening at all.
Ordered Mustang GT Auto in RR.
So much for a nice Christmas present....:(:(

Build week confirmed today for 15/Oct/2015. Was told to check back on build week for VIN to track the order.

This is all very confusing. My dealer said according to his computer screen there is no such word as Build Date. He said there are two pages and one of the headings was Status Date which in my case was 14/8/2015. I am one of their first 6 orders out of well over 40 orders. The other five have that same date of 14/8/2015. Aussie Mate, have you heard of Status Date? Is Build Date and Status Date the same thing?

I received my VIN today, I am unaware of the build date but at least I have a VIN now. Expected delivery however has been pushed out to 5/12/2015

That was the dealer, I have sent an PM to deysha and I'll let you know what she says. Originally I was expecting a November delivery.

Ah that's right, looking back through the posts you received your email on the 27th July. I've only received mine 1st September, so about 4.5 weeks later.

Hope that puts me at a late January delivery

Keep in mind the color you chose also affects delivery/build date.

As some colors are being made earlier, regardless of when you ordered yours.

eg. My black GT ordered in January is arriving later than Red/Blue ones ordered 2 months later.

Only got my NSC from the dealer. Apart from that, they didn't know fuck all...

Had to get more information about my order through Ford Australia. After 2 days, they got my build week/date through tracking my order with the NSC provided.

My dealer has 117 orders. I'm in the low 10%
