Sorry dinosaur here, but how do you contact Ford through Facebook to check on progress?

I have a FB page, but don't use it. I tried searching Ford Australia on FB but just came to Wiki like page.

Any simple pointers? Ta.

What info were you able to give them that they could find your 'car'?

I have a stock number (a four alphanumeric code) but no VIN. I also have ETA. Does that sound like enough to bother them with- as you say I don't want to make a nuisance of myself.

never a nuisance if it helps you out, i gave then stock code, name, dealership and date signed. it took them about 2 hours to respond to my first message but after that it was pretty much instant replies.

hey mate, it was one of the sunshine ford dealerships on the gold coast, apparently ford corporate reviewed the dealer list of orders and the contracts as they had to confirm everybody was in their correct standing as to the date of their contract signing, mine was apparently "lost in the system" and submitted 6 weeks later than i signed the contract, sure i was still 2nd batch (i signed in june) but it really annoyed the hell out of me and i would have cancelled my order then and there if the car wasn't so sexual.
when i ordered i was told about the upcoming showing night of the mustang, i'll get an email closer to the date....NOTHING, then i see on their facebook page all the photo's of the night. again annoyed. i just want my damn car.
i'm not even getting it on finance, paying cash and offered to pay the balance then and there but no they just wanted the deposit. i did the same thing with the E63 AMG i had and they were jumping through hoops and offering me a courtesy car while waiting for the order (which was only 3 weeks wait from a pre-order).

anyway, rant over

I ordered my car from Sunshine Ford Gold Coast too. I never got an invite to the "big showing" because I found that the email address that they had for me was slightly misspelled and that was the reason I didn't received the invite. Well as far as I know the email would have bounced back to them and they then would have rung me. Not so.
Anyway for your info I ordered my car in July last year, have my VIN number, and my car is being produced this month and will be here at the end of November. Hopefully.

From memory (which is bad) it was quite a few weeks. Maybe even 4 or 5 weeks, so hang in there. I've had my VIN for a couple of weeks and still trying to find out my actual build date. All I know is that it is this month.

Got the ford email 1-Sep, got the call from my dealer, estimated delivery Feb '16 with a one month Addon so maybe Jan '16 delivery. Not a happy camper would be an understatement of the century!!!

Obviously no vin yet, only stock number.

I got my letter sep 1st and told to expect jan delivery but I am thinking it's going to be feb

It seems we are getting the bad news target date so Feb '16 delivery implies November build date...

My confirmation email came through 27/07 and my dealer got the VIN in mid August with an estimated delivery date of late November, however after contacting Deysha she has found that there isn't a build date yet for my car and only a tentative build week of 12/10.

If that's true it'll be lucky if I see it before Christmas by the time it gets shipped and actually gets to my dealer...

I'd suggest anyone with a VIN to follow up with Deysha, because it seems that the information available to our dealers may not correlate to Ford in the US.
