Can anyone recommend some high quality matte black 5.0 emblems that were easy to install? Thanks.

UPR all the way the matte black from them has location pins and adhesive tape so you are good to go. Now the gloss has no location pins just adhesive tape.

You can get them for under $15 on Ebay. I did and they're just as good as any $100 set.

Im torn between plasti dipping existing or buying new.

Any tips or tricks on removing existing and installing new. Is it as simple as a heat gun and some floss?

Best tip- place painters tape as close to the old emblems as you can, creating a box around them so that you can put the new ones in the exact same spot without any problems. Then just warm them up and use floss or some fishing line. Use a dab of goof off to get rid of any stubborn adhesive then apply the new emblems, lining them up in the box made by the tape.

No reason to be torn about it.

A can of plasti will run you 6 bucks. Widely available from Wal-Mart to Home Depot, to any Auto-Parts store.

Mask off a good area, apply coats, peel carefully, admire.

If you hate it, peel it all of and get the prepainted emblems.

It is essentially a no-cost option. You are going to waste 6 bucks this week anyway...

TIP, I bought some black 5.0 badges for my 14 GT and the red . started turning white in a few months. I would pay a little more to get something hopefully made better. Mine were $20. Looking for some for my 15 now.

Anyone putting a warranty on them? If not, I'll take my chances for $20.
