The door jam? Where the vin, tire psi stickers are and crap? That area is never really great on almost any car. If its THAT much worse than other is it really $3500 worse (amount of money you're saving)?

Chances are if you pass on this and wait or look for something else you will find an imperfection in that too. That may be more frustrating. Before I got mine I checked my local dealer and walked the lot and literally found something wrong with every single mustang there was interested in. Whether it be a paint flaw or body panel alignment that's without getting inside any of the cars. If you're like me and your OCD is a daily uphill battle you WILL find something wrong with any car you get. Or have my luck and find a car you're happy with and on the drive home get a chip in your windshield...if you don't find anything wrong with one on the lot you will when you wash it for the first time haha
This! These cars have plenty of exterior flaws. Welcome to the first you've noticed.
GT Pony;. Door jambs on this car are never as nice as the outside body paint is.[/QUOTE said:NOT true, the door jams on my 2011 GT are just as good as nice as the outside of my perfect car.Fords Q/C has gone to shit on the new Mustangs and most are willing to pay and except it.
The hoods are aluminum! Right?? Just had mine striped and clear coated. Yes, the black paint clear is very thin but he matched it perfectly in the places he burned thru! Looks better than the new stock hood!Your worried about inside the door? Just wait until the thin paint that is barely bonded to the fiberglass hood starts to fly off from contact with anything....
My long awaited 2016 GT Convertible just arrived! I went to pick the car up and found numerous metals shavings/or dirt baked into the door jamb, this dirt is so apparent it scratches on finger nails.
The Ford dealer downplayed the issue and insisted I take the car and fix it later. I am getting an unbeatable deal on this car and the dealer is not wanting to order another and I do not want to wait forever for another car anyway, the odds are most of the current incentives (special offer, lease conquest and customer cash will be gone) after waiting months more.
Ford wants to repaint part of the car. What would you do? Take the car with a partial new paint job? leave the deal? This really sucks. Ford still has big quality issues, how can I see this with my naked eye and Ford cannot?
Really? Hmm well either way the paint on the hood is horrible...The hoods are aluminum! Right?? Just had mine striped and clear coated. Yes, the black paint clear is very thin but he matched it perfectly in the places he burned thru! Looks better than the new stock hood!
