Max safe HP on 93 Octane?

That is impressive...what size is the crank pulley!?! Just wondering, because that 3.1" upper seems deceptive lol.
the numbers are good but the acceleration rate on that dyno pull
looked really slow or is it just me ..Id rather have less HP and have the engine rev faster

A dyno is not a good tool for measuring acceleration. With less HP the revs would be slower. The track is the end all for HP an ET.

Only change to our kit is the long tubes, high flow cats and cat back. 10.5psi, 93 octane, passed extensive OEM type durability testing. Out of the box kit!!! You can't do that with the Roush kit.

That is very impressive with only 10lbs. of boost and on 93 octane gas. Very awesome.

To believe this is even remotely safe or possible with 93 without destroying motor is as possible as unicorns and ligers having babies... Just saying :headbonk:


Livernois said it couldn't be done. Just saying!! No big deal!!

That being said I personally would not go over 12 psi w/o running E85. Not really a power level as much as a boost level.

That being said I personally would not go over 12 psi w/o running E85. Not really a power level as much as a boost level.
Just not possible with a Roush stock kit and pump gas. It will detonate heavily.

Remember though, boost is not a measurement of power, airflow, etc. with the cam scheduling, one can make more or less boost as well as vastly vary cyclinder pressure. If one lowers cylinder pressure to help run increased volume of air, you must have a larger pump to flow the air efficiently. That includes bigger throttle body, SC, inlet system, etc. if you use cams to either leave stock cyclinder pressure or increase, you can cheat a smaller pump, but are always nor eye of detonation and most likely running at at least level 1 knock at all levels of boost. Therefore someone could run say 15psi on pump gas by lowering actual compression ratio, but a kit such as Roushs would require excess RPM and extreme IAT2 issues.

In our testing we found a comfort zone with lower compression and roughly 9-13psi. Therefore it's a combination of things to make one powerful and reliable in all conditions.

One thing we developed and is now shipping with the latest kits and calibration is the baro and supercharger calculation enhancement. We now can accurately gauge supercharger flow and vary spark, cam position, injection timing and lambda. An industry first on the Fords.

But what is the max HP I can run on 93 octane, and what does it take to get there?

I would recommend a twin 68mm TB, long tube, high flow cats and run 11psi. With a kind tune, whatever you end up with is gonna be roughly max. My guess is 630-650 range.
