Awesome just placed me an order figured I give this a try I like how they cut it almost square so you could run the pattern across the dash. The 3m is cut in weird lengths unless you buy huge sheets.

Yea I learned that also the hard way, I was told use a felt tipped squeegee so needless to say I bought two lol

I agree for that long piece of trim that runs from passanger side to driver side I suggest you lay it on floor have a friend grab one end you grab the other both hold tight the wrap and lay it down and smooth smooth out as much bubbles as you can

How hard were those gauges to get around? Any tips for those?

cool part is once you get that trim pulled out there are screws and clips for removing the gages even the psi and oil one just get them out when you have the whole area wrapped cut away a nice circle in the middle and really heat up the wrap and stick to the sides

Got another question for you.... How thick is this vinyl? From the pictures it looks decently thick. One the V6 trim the black carbon fiber has a texture to it. I don't want this texture showing though the vinyl...

Are the edges unfinished on the right side of your dash under the ac vents?

Overall, looks great. Never was a fan of that PP trim.

I could always sand my trim panels smooth... Just another step in the process but overall still cheaper then buying premium panels!

I was suggesting this in another thread plastidipping the dash/chrome bezels. I may vinyl wrap all of the chrome (around shifter, vents/ gauge cluster) as the chrome is ugly.

Looks good OP

As long as it is not a gloss finish that obviously looks like vinyl wrap I would be happy! I could care less if my dash was real aluminum or not. As long as it replicates the look and about 90% of the feel then I am fine.
the 3M version of this feels very much like real brushed alumininum. Know a couple people with their whole cars wrapped in it and it feels/looks so cool.

Really now? I used an aluminum wrap a few years ago by them and it was pure crap.. That said maybe they changed their vinyl since then or I got ripped off then... Haha

not 3m but I like how this looks to be honest over here is the exact listing to get it

http://www.ebay.com/itm/131149889443?_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:IT
I've been looking into doing this exact thing the past few weeks but decided not to based on results I was seeing, but I was only looking into 3M products. I did see some info on Vvivid Vinyl and good to see you like it. Curious though, the ebay link you posted doesnt mention anything about it being Vvivid Vinyl. Did the product you received say it was?
