I'm pretty sure they were speaking of the base model which does not slam you in your seat. Does not stop quick. Does not handle well. Any sporty car turns heads.

Well considering most of those cars were purchased for 3 grand I'd guess they don't have as much tied up into them as one might think. Also the fastest EB mustang on the planet currently runs around 11.5. Call em gay all you want but how many 9 secend EB owners frequent this forum? You can "super" any car... the only reason people would choose to do so with a Honda, is because they are ghey.

I wouldn't even consider an R/T unless it was a Scat Pack. 375 horse power in those heavy cars isn't very impressive. Only on this forum have I ever heard 4 banger drivers call other 4 banger drivers gay. Strange place.

the scat pack r/t is much like the 5.0. it's the minimum powertrain config for the car enthusiast.

like i've said before, the scat pack 8 speed auto is a great buy at about 38k before TTL

I was very close to trading for the scat pack but Dodge thought they were selling Vipers instead of Challengers and didn't want to move off the list price and didn't want to give me a fair trade. I'm glad I didn't go down that path because I like the GT even better than the dodge after driving both. But those big 6.4 coupled to the 8 speed autos are sweet.

i configed a chally scat pack auto on truecar.com the other day and it found a few dealers selling at 2700 under msrp. the only option i added was the scat pack appearance group for $1,100 to get HID headlamps, among other goodies.

Not that there's anything wrong with being "ghey" -- or driving a Honda -- I have both a Mustang GT PP, and a civic (no mods), and I luuu da pussaay!

Honda's are GREAT cars -- but hard to fall in love with like you do a mustang -- totally different purpose. My Civic has ding-duty at the metro -- it will also save my mustang in the winter.

Yea I looked when they first came out. I looked at the exact same car your speaking of. Wanted the appearance package for the lights, black wheels and hood stripes and of course the automatic were the only option I wanted on a green car. The car was 40K and they wouldn't come off a dime. Sales manager actually told me they thought they would sell like crazy. Seams to me the only thing selling like crazy this year is Mustangs!
