Hey guys,
Felt like diggin up some old post, since I got my car on friday and wanted to change my license plate frame (dont really feel like driving around with that big white eyesore of a frame my dealership put on Maggie lol).
Ok so my car is Magnetic, what are your thoughts on these 2, should I go brushed metal, or just black. I tend to say black cause I'm afraid the brushed metal is kinda gonna be too close to Magnetic in color, and wont "show enough".
Your opinion ? Or maybe if any of you guys have any of these on a Magnetic, that would actually be even better

I think the brushed metal would go well with the magnetic. Makes the frame a bit more stealth looking IMO.

Never required. Some just want a more finished look.

I uses some high density foam pad material (so it doesn't soak up water) on the backside/bottom area of the plate. The rear fascia is slightly curved, and if you don't put about a 1/4" to 3/8" layer of foam on the plate it will rub on fascia. Test fit it and you'll see where the foam needs to go.

Adds weight...seriously? You could take a piss before driving your car and reduce more weight than what would be added by a plate frame.

I got a nice real carbon fiber one for $20 that goes great on the Magnetic. On the back of my plate I have a few of those adhesive small gel circles people put on the bottom of furniture legs, works great.

I use foam weather stripping. You can get a roll of it dirt cheap at walmart. Cut off a few pieces and stick it to the back of the license plate, and you're done.
