I'm guessing Ford US liased with Ford Aus on what the priorities were to hit a certain number on p/price vs spec/options....but that's just my guess.

What the hell were they thinking?

I expected them to be reserved for the export cars, but the locals seemingly get them too.

I expect the way to go would be to have after market vinyl stripes fitted after you take delivery.
You could then pick you style, eg., one wide stripe, one wide stripe with one narrow stripe each side of the wide stripe, two narrow stripes.

Just an FYI to anyone disappointed about the confirmed stripe design - you can request a change of specification through your dealer providing your vehicle hasn't been assigned a confirmation number from Ford US.

Talk to your dealer about it because each individual vehicle will be different.

I was going with vinyl matte black and red Pinstripe anyways. $600 for dealer stripes seemed like a rip.
