The z28 is not at 425rwhp. The SCCA GTS z28 uses a 44mm restrictor and its output is 425. It was a 470rwhp car with an 80mm. It should be around 450rwhp OR, about 55 more than the Boss. I got you so f@cked up your using RWHP for the z28 and crank power for the Boss to make your fantasy a reality.

I love how you just credit the z28 as the victim in all this. Chevy knew it would eventually come to this but they figured they would of had a title by now.

Wanna know how a z28 gets to 3400lbs???

I guess the CTSC's z28 dropped to 3400lbs with OEM panels.

Don't belong...

I would like to know how a 505hp engine running on 100 octane and tune is making the same exact horsepower with a 60mm as the 43mm restricted GTS car. It's more than likely a 525hp LS7 sold from GMP.

Besides, you used the z28's RWHP and its final and just recently corrected weight for power to weight.

You can't use an imaginary 425RWHP on the z28 just to make your scenario work. The Boss makes 444hp at the crank from the factory, probably a bit more on IMSA 100.

I know you need this to work, it just doesn't. An LS7 is a more powerful engine in every way.

The Boss makes 480 hp with a 60mm restrictor however it doesn't have one in IMSA / CTSC. So it's easily making north of 500 hp.

I don't think anyone is arguing that unrestricted vs unrestricted the LS7 is a stronger engine than the 5.0. However in CTSC the LS7 is restricted and the 5.0 is not.
You know that isn't correct. Use your common sense...

Maybe the GTS 302 makes 480 at the crank, I highly doubt that as well.

If an 80mm restriction nets 470RWHP, a 43mm would be right at 425.

I have seen a similar misprint for the last GTS Camaro's wheelbase. It said 101.5 and was actually 110.5 per the rulebook.

Chance are its 408, I'd believe that... The CTSC Boss is under 405RWHP with a 58mm restrictor, I'd say 408 is right in the money.

Common sense fella's... this is the pure definition of reaching.

Ford is incapable of making a 500+HP Boss 302. If it's 480RWHP, the output would be close to 550.

But that is speculation. IF there is doubt about this statistic then it brings the credibility of any/all information on the website into question. You cannot cherry pick data that is posted on the same website about the Z/28 and treat that as gospel and then say the data about the Mustang isn't correct because it doesn't favor your argument. THAT RIGHT THERE is the definition of reaching.

Sources say your insane...
You just posted an article from a journalist. I posted data from Pirelli World Challenge website. Maybe the Mustangs hp was fat fingered, but until it is changed we cannot be certain.

That is a press release from Ford Motor Company.

Sorry, no 550HP Boss exist. I'd say 450 on 91, 460 on 98.

But since we're posting articles, according to Car & Driver, the HP for the Z/28.R is generated from a stock LS7, thus making 505 (crank) HP. meaning it's rwhp is WELL BELOW 500 rwhp.

I posted a video walk through of an actual z28r. Mantella also claimed the z28r made 470hp. That is with the small restriction and a race tuned, 100 Octane LS7. I believe it is the GMP LS7 which is rated at 525hp (crank). With drivetrain losses and the small 80mm Restrictor, I'd say 470 is probably pretty accurate.

I trust Mantella and Stevenson, both said the Camaro was 470 initially.

A 43mm restrictor on the GTS z28 nets 425RWHP. Per IMSA, the PWC GTS class Max output is 400RWHP.
