I would guess between 3430-3440lbs.
That's not a very safe guess...

I guess 3560-3580lbs for a V6. That's only 30-50lbs heavier than the ATS Coupe V6 Auto.

The Camaro is 4 inches longer, 3 inches wider, has a 1.5 inch longer wheelbase and a 2-3 inch wider track.

That is metal baby... inches and inches on top of layers and layers. It's extra glass, carpet, NVH, plastic...

If it only gains 30-50lbs over the ATS Coupe, it will impress me. I'm not even sure a magazine has weighed one under 3560lbs in the real world anyway.

A 3400-3500lbs Camaro will be impossible. Not while the ATS Coupe weighs 3530lbs as is.

Let's do it lottery style...
- 3462 lbs is my guess.

50 lbs over an ATS will impress you? lol - don't lie, you know it won't!

The C7 didn't lose weight the Z06 didn't lose weight. The Camaro will NOT lose weight. I put a loaded SS right under 4000 pounds.

They can't even get heat soak issues right on the Z06...

I love how people think the camaro will weigh within 150 lbs of the stingray, and have the same powertrain. lol

Drag races resulting in ties between the stingray and the camaro, and the stingray winning by a car in the best case scenario. Seems legit....

I know right a BASE no option stingray weighs 3299...you have to be crazy or a blind Fanboy if you think the mullet machine will be within 200 pounds of that.

I think the Z51s with 3450 or so.

I miss my C7 but I wasnt blind to its faults. Faults that shouldn't have been on a 62k golden child car.

"You are just a blind hater" (Camaro6).

The C7 seems like an overpriced scam now.

If it didn't work in the CTS, or the C7, I doubt the Camaro will.

Here is the issue, both BIW's got lighter. The CTS lost a few pounds in the structure. Then lost an additional 190lbs in odds and ends. The car got heavier...

The C7 lost 90lbs in BIW weight, gained 190lbs back on...

In this day and age, you need to step onto the scales being 300lbs lighter. Because in the long run, you will maybe see 100lbs lost.

200lbs is not safe, it wasn't for the Mustang, or the Corvette or the CTS.

This is a CTS structure too, not an ATS. I would say the Camaro is 300lbs lighter than the CTS.

Right now, the ATS BIW weighs around 670lbs and the CTS weighs 715.

The Camaro should be around 750-770...

That's nearly 100lbs nobody thinks about...

First, I think everyone has a hard time believing anything under 3500lbs. With the exact same equipment, it's hard to toss out 30lbs to beat the ATS Coupe.

Second, even based on 3500 even, the SS is between 3680-3720lbs. But it still needs to be lighter than the smaller ATS.

What you will actually get is close to 3600lbs putting a V8 in the 3780-3820lbs.

If your telling me it's this much lighter than the 5th Gen, kool... But the numbers provided can't exceed the smaller cars curb. It would need to share materials with the ATS and that is gonna push the $36,000-37,995 1SS target out the window.

The Corvette Z51 weighs 3450lbs... It's ALL aluminum..., smaller brakes, wheels, tires suspension and its 10 inches shorter and has a 4 inch shorter wheelbase.

Last Gen they were 800lbs apart... be thankful for anything that starts in the high 3700 range.

The old c6 zo6 with zo7 package weights around 3130 lbs, thats 300 lb difference compared to the z51 c7. They got it backwards there lol.
