Granted it was an automatic with standard gear ratio, but they achieved 0-60 in 5.5, 1/4 mile in 14.1 @102 and .86g on the skid pad with the all season tires. They also saw 22 mpg, which matched their experience with the EB. So basically, unless the EB has the PP, they perform nearly identically!

Yes stock vs. stock they perform the same it's not until the ecoboost gets tuned then it becomes faster then the v6.

And if Ford would have allowed you guys to spin your 3.7s to 7 grand like the S197s those performance number would have been even better. If your going to offer the car give potential buyers the same goodies as the other models.

? You know better than this. I'm not trying to start an argument but the V6 is not as fast even in stock form. Car and Driver even ran 5.2 0-60 and 13.9 1/4 with the EB which is the norm for ppl on the forum whereas we have yet to see a V6 in the 13s. The EB has more HP and TQ on premium

Could someone post a link please. I looked on the Car and Driver site but couldn't find the review mentioned. Thanks.

Funny how the whole EB section lost their minds when I made similar comments about the GT being faster than a Ecoboost.

Not bad for a gimped Mustang.

Now Chevy did it right. Added more horsepower and torque to the V6, while putting the 4 cylinder as the base model.

For a boulevard cruiser that has all the looks of the more expensive Mustangs but can cruise along "on the cheap", the Cyclone engine is hard to beat. Depending on what you want a car to do, sometimes "Less is More"!

My daily driver is a 2012 V6 mca edition automatic. I love the car. Enough power to get you in trouble! The same good looks as it's big brother and 29 miles to the gallon which is real important for my 40 mile one way commute to work. The S550 is even better than the S197.

Those acceleration times look close enough to call a wash with a stock Eco to me.
Much like an Eco with a tuner and a stock gt;)
I really do like the 6,hopefully some mods will start popping up for them. They've got some great power potential for sure. Heck they're pretty darn good stock

I think we can all agree the stock GT is faster than a stock eco. Sounds like ppl were annoyed that u were pointing out the obvious
