Terrible support from BAMA

Well I have gave Bama plenty of time to fix the issues with my tune so I'm putting them on blast so other people know the issues I've had and possibly sway their decision to use them. I've been messaging them since the beginning of May about my terrible tune. My tune literally hangs at a certain RPM while driving which is quite dangerous for accelerating onto the autobahn or daily driving period. One example today I was getting on the autobahn over here in Germany and downshifted to get on the autobahn and literally the RPM's were stuck at 5000 and would not accelerate and just stayed while my foot was on the floor. I've been emailing them back and fourth giving them datalogs of my issues. They first said send a datalog, I sent one and they needed new parameters. I sent the parameters they asked for and they came back and said oh we need some of the original parameters from the first datalog. This hang in the tune happens every day and every time I drive the car. So just imagine your trying to accelerate somewhere and once you hit 3k RPM you can no longer accelerate for at least 20 seconds unless you down shift and sometimes that even hangs. Every time I email them it takes a week or longer for a response. That could be a week to even tell me to send a new datalog which had happened 3 times so 3 weeks to even let me know what the issue is. My last datalog I sent I had went on vacation and couldn't get it done within 3 days. Well I finally had a chance to do it and I sent it on the 12th of June. Today is the 27th of June and still no response and it's the weekend. So who knows if my tune will ever get fixed I wish they would just refund me money so I can go elsewhere. I'm tired of waiting for them to fix their errors and I can't enjoy my car. If you have too many emails then hire more people to read damn emails or something. So I guess I know where I will never be going for tunes and hopefully this cleared it up for you on the fence. If you go with Bama you may get a good tune the first time, but if you don't expect months before a fix!

Well my datalog is in the email. Also I'm quite a few time zones away being in Europe. But also they stated to email them the datalog directly and they would get back with me.

Just being on the board since November I've seen a lot of complaints on them. Some good, but more bad then the other two big tuners. That is what swayed me away.

Sorry OP, that truly sucks. Hopefully they will refund your money so you can go with one of the 2 folks below.

This is one reason why Livernois or Lund is getting my money when it comes time to tune my GT PP.

Glad that maybe some people will sway their decision with this info. For me as a company, you try and always take care of people who have already invested with your company which could result in more positive reviews and recommendations. So maybe they will see the light someday. AM has been great and I'm sure Alex doesn't like bad reviews from this other part of the company he works for but something has to change or get some new people in the tuning department.

I've had my Lund tune for two days, and I've emailed them three times. Each email was answered almost immediately. Couldn't be happier...

Like I've said Alex is a stand up guy and AM side of the business has been great. Only one thing I would change with them is a military discount that is better than the regular forum discount but they are a good company. Thanks for your help as always Alex especially being on a Saturday!

Plenty of people have had issues with Lund too. When a company is big enough, there are bound to be a few issues. 99% of people don't have any, like me. Hope you get it figured out, OP.

Nah Bama has way more issues/bad reviews/negativity towards them as opposed to Lund. Bama is notorious for not being too good.

Exactly. There have been plenty of complaints about lund tunes on this forum too...just read. Both are great companies, both will have issues from time to time. Bashing a company you've never dealt with yourself isn't becoming of you.

Ummm.. get your head out of your ass because Bama is definitely known as the company in the mustang world to have the most screw ups and to not be so desirable. If your denying this then your new to this shit, just google bama mustang problems and you'll see forums full of people knocking them. I'm not saying they are bad myself as I've never ran a tune by them, but I'm saying their is a reason I've never ran a tune by them, due to what most people say about them.
