Has anyone else had a call from their dealer with month. I asked ford aus for an explanation for the already missed publicised delivery deadline.

As expected I got back a "demand is high outside of Australia in other rhd markets we are trying to fill all orders"

Didn't answer my question at all but I am going to suggest that there will be another delay and cars will be months more.

All in all the release has been terrribly handled by ford aus. Don't publicly announce a delivery range then blow it out of the water not two months later. Don't get me wrong I want the car and will keep the order but that doesn't mean I won't sell it and never buy a ford again. If the hellcat gets locked in I think this car is going on the market the day it arrives
When I spoke to my dealer about your issue he said the only reason why you would be waiting so long for yours is if C&P did not fill out the orders in the correct system by the 31st of March deadline.

Hopefully we should get some more information about our cars this month

I asked my dealer for an update and he said he hadn't heard anything but would ask Ford. He also said I am no. 34 of 39 orders in their priority batch. Mine was placed on 24 March this year. They took their first order on 08 Feb last year. I'll post again when I hear back.

This better not be the case! My order says 14/02/2015 so I was before both cut offs. I have called and waiting on a callback. If they have stuffed up all hell is going to break loose

I hope not either, hopefully you can sort it out mate. Surely Ford Australia would know what is happening

I have a feeling that this isn't the reason. I would say it would mainly be due to the fact that we have chosen to go with a smaller dealer. I also have a feeling that others will be called in the coming weeks to be advised of delays. But I guess we have to wait and see.

Hopefully its a big misunderstanding and we are still on track for deliveries between December - March :) though I don't like our chances

It may also be a tactic by Ford AU to get the smaller dealers to advise delays and see what reception to these delays are like before having to deal with complaints from all 2000+ preorder customers at once.

I actually think this might be partially true. Spoke to dealer who said they have allocation and dates from ford. I would think some bigger dealers will have a bigger allocation but all the dates ect were done by ford au.

So basically I am currently getting my car in May 16 and ordered 14/02/2015

Yeah I was speaking more to the fact that they can gauge how many cancellations there may be to announce a 5-6 month delay. If say 50% cancelled they might be able to go back to whoever organizes production and show them that they can't. But this is just my conspiracy theory to deal with the news that I won't be getting the car for another 12 months haha :D

Haha gold

He did say they expected cancellations and have not had any! He was still making calls.

There would probably be more cancellations if there was some competition at that price point. No Camaro no competition.

I ordered mine in October last year and my due date is February. I don't think anyone who ordered near or on the deadline will have any hope of seeing their car before early next year.

I think the level of global demand has well and truly caught them off guard.

I think this is going to be a hot thread topic for a while.

I haven't heard from my dealer yet but I won't be backing out.

So my dealer just called apologizing profusely and said he received news today my order has been pushed back April, so time you orded seems to mean sweet FA. I am pretty pissed right now, it means by the time my car is delivered it would have been preordered for well over 2 years, might as well cancel and order a 2016 built car seeing as they are an August delivery

Worrying thread... I haven't heard anything from my dealer yet. Originally placed my order and put down a deposit in October.

Will call the dealer tomorrow and see what he to say. Not going to be very happy if its Q2 2016.
