Ordered 2016 GT Premimum PP Today on XPlan

Got the deal signed and dealer's day to put in order bank is next Tuesday. I have to thank this forum for all of the information. The salesman was chuckling in frustration because some of the information he had did not correspond to the information on this forum. He said it was funny that the customer comes in with more knowledge about there internal system than the salesman knows. The only thing that concerns me is my preview order sheet indicates priority code of 19. I told him that would not work so hopefully when they actually order it will come down (he noted the sheet so when they officially enter into the order bank they can hopefully make it better)

Now I can't wait until the VIN and production date. Wonder when they will assign VINs for the 2016, maybe start on 6/11 when the scheduling begins? Hopefully I can get to COTUS next week when the order is entered into the bank.

I hope to get it in late August??

Also, you don't need the navigation on the 2016s. Android Auto runs entirely from your phone.

SYNC 3 will also be Apple Carplay compatible for those that have an iPhone. It seems most automakers are rolling out headunits that are compatible with both for 2016MY and beyond cars. Hyundai has done it, Chevy is going to do it, and Ford is doing it.

Hey mculver,

I ordered my 16 on Wednesday and had the same priority as you. It was 19 at first but when the order went in it was set to 10.

I've been checking COTUS a lot but I think it's useless for a few weeks.

Congrats! Just put in my order this morning. 2016 Guard GT Premium, 401A, Spare tire, and spoiler delete.

I was at the dealership yesterday morning, and test drove a 15, chatted with the sales guy, and told them I wanted to order a 2016. The GM said they couldn't. Thanks to 6g here, I told him ordering for the 15 cut off on the 28th, and that the 16s were opened up. He smiled and told me he would go try to order one of each then. Came back 5 minutes later and said that he hates it when customers know things he doesn't. Haha.

Anyway, got xplan pricing, so no haggling. Stuck with priority code 16, though they said I'm obviously their first order. No big deal, I can be patient. Excited to be part of the community, this will be my first Mustang.

COTUS goes live within about 24 hours of your dealer actually ordering your car. You will see it In Order Processing for a while, then you will get a VIN, then a production date, then you will be In Production, then Awaiting Shipment, then In Transit and finally Delivered. Somewhere along the way an EDD will show up on your screen. That date may change forward or backward several times. Try not to lose your mind.

Hopefully different and a little less squirrelly. It was wonderful to have it, especially during the time when we were able to hack the web page and read the projected production date in the HTML code, that was cool, but it was maddening when you car would just disappear. "No matching VIN." Really? I had one five minutes ago??? And then a few hours (or days) later it would come back, none the worse for the wear.

They told us last year that COTUS was beta-ware. Hopefully this year it's a finished product.

43B instead of 401A. My appointment to order is Tuesday.

What's 43B? I don't see it in the order guide. 400A/401A are the two basic equipment groups for GT Premiums. Every GT Premium has one or the other, they are not replaced by anything. Are you thinking of Code 43, Dark Saddle Leather? Still need an equipment group to go with that.

43B is the premier trim. I just meant 400A instead of 401A, and adding the nicer leather seats and door trim. Memory seats are tempting, but I'll be the sole driver so not really needed, especially as I already sit almost at the back of the seat travel to no easy exit necessary.
