Kind of excited. Came upon agreeable deal with trade in for BMW 135, which they are getting ahead of time. It wasn't my DD and honestly it's less wear on it and less insurance cost. Price will be X plan.

Ordered a Guard GT Premium, perf pack, 6 speed, 401a option pack...so I will have my heated and cooled seats, the gearing, the turn signals, and the new form of sync.

About that. My wife has the fusion and I also have a c max, and we know the ford sync fairly well. I love tech. I could list the crazy number of gadgets I have, but ultimately, I find that I don't mess that much with the interfaces on the cars, other than to pick a song or a radio station and cool or heat the cabin. All the extras are lost on me. Maybe with the new one I will find I care, but the cars are more about driving then gadgetry. So .... the fuss about the new sync has me less excited than the stupid turn signals on the hood which I think are cool

Also my wife and son (6 yo) came to pick me up since I was leaving the BMW behind, and he really wanted to have a ride in a Mustang. Dealership set us up in at 2015 GT 6 speed without PP, but was an awesome ride. Happy to say he was comfortable in the back with his booster seat, and he was a little scared at first but had a great time.

Driving was a blast, what a change from a twin scroll turbo 6 cyclinder to a loud boisterous V8. I agree that the sport mode is the only way to go. And I have seen people ask if the clutch or shifting was different in the Sport mode, and it may have been mental but it sure seemed better.

I also agree the clutch is well, weird. Not horrible, just weird. Will do the spring delete mod when I get mine.

Wife sat in the back some also, and while we aren't large folks, she felt it wasn't that bad overall.

So anyway, I anticipate it won't come in until October, but maybe sooner if things go well. Will be hard to wait.

Congrats, I cancelled my 2016 order when I found a 2015 just as I wanted minus the black accent package which is a 2016 option, for much lower than Xplan, and I got it today instead of months from now.

Enjoy the wait, I remember when I ordered my 2013.

I care about infotainment
So 2016 ordering is definitely open? I need to check with my dealer because I'm so ready to just get the ordering one with and start the real wait.

Congrats on the order, I'll be getting the exact same minus 401a, and plus Dark Saddle interior :)

Do you pay up front for car when you order one, or do you pay for it when you actually get the car?

You pay when you actually get the car. Sometimes they require a small down payment like 500 to order.

Oh snap. So, if I were to order it on say the 25th of may, what day do you think I would get it? Middle of July is about my "i will have the upfront money" date. So I was gonna order it then, but apparently the 28th of may is the last day to order a 15. Should I just wait until july and buy from a dealer's stock maybe?

Same question, are orders going into some kind of Que (sp) for later ordering or are the orders being placed through to Ford?

I know some are ordering through willing Dealers but most are not. I was convinced it would really open sometime soon in June.

I should have been more clear. They can't ORDER it, but they took my build and will put it in when they do open, suspected about 7-10 days from now. We have a deal, but not officially sent in. I have worked with this dealer a bit over the past years, and they are kind enough to do this for me without a deposit, which would have been fine if they wanted it.

We don't have final numbers, financing or delivery date. But they know I will be good on my end, and I know they will be good on theirs. Kind of nice now that I think about it, we have a handshake agreement ...

I feel the same way, so the car getting Sync 3 wouldn't really matter to me.

What I don't get about the new turn signals in the hood is I'm wondering if the hood shape going to change on the 2016 so you can actually see the RH signal light in the hood? I can't even see that RH vent where the turn signal light goes into when I'm sitting in my 2015. I'm not that short either. :D

Congrats! It will be interesting to see how the 2016s come out in terms of quality ... ie, panel alignments and all the other things people have noticed with the first year cars.

I "ordered" mine last week. My dealer wrote down everything I wanted from the order sheets and told me the 28th is when the oreder will go in. He told me I didn't have to pay anything until he confirmed that the order was in and I would need to put down $500. I ordered a Deep Impact Blue, GT Premium with Performance Pack, 401A and Trim pack.
