Kind of excited. Came upon agreeable deal with trade in for BMW 135, which they are getting ahead of time. It wasn't my DD and honestly it's less wear on it and less insurance cost. Price will be X plan.
Ordered a Guard GT Premium, perf pack, 6 speed, 401a option pack...so I will have my heated and cooled seats, the gearing, the turn signals, and the new form of sync.
About that. My wife has the fusion and I also have a c max, and we know the ford sync fairly well. I love tech. I could list the crazy number of gadgets I have, but ultimately, I find that I don't mess that much with the interfaces on the cars, other than to pick a song or a radio station and cool or heat the cabin. All the extras are lost on me. Maybe with the new one I will find I care, but the cars are more about driving then gadgetry. So .... the fuss about the new sync has me less excited than the stupid turn signals on the hood which I think are cool
Also my wife and son (6 yo) came to pick me up since I was leaving the BMW behind, and he really wanted to have a ride in a Mustang. Dealership set us up in at 2015 GT 6 speed without PP, but was an awesome ride. Happy to say he was comfortable in the back with his booster seat, and he was a little scared at first but had a great time.
Driving was a blast, what a change from a twin scroll turbo 6 cyclinder to a loud boisterous V8. I agree that the sport mode is the only way to go. And I have seen people ask if the clutch or shifting was different in the Sport mode, and it may have been mental but it sure seemed better.
I also agree the clutch is well, weird. Not horrible, just weird. Will do the spring delete mod when I get mine.
Wife sat in the back some also, and while we aren't large folks, she felt it wasn't that bad overall.
So anyway, I anticipate it won't come in until October, but maybe sooner if things go well. Will be hard to wait.
