Thanks Iceman. I'm glad to hear that it's not normal. I am having dynomax bullets welded in on Saturday so I'm going to see if the shop guys can get this thing lifted up a bit. If these bullets don't get rid of the drone them I'm going to have to trash this exhaust anyway. I hope not because I love the sound without the drone.

Are you going to replace the MBRP mufflers with these or add them along with them MBRP Mufflers?

Just installed the stainless street today. Nice, deep sound below 3500rpm. Different beast above that. Fit and finish was excellent. I installed it in about an hour after taking the stock system off. This was all done on the garage floor with one jack and jack stand in front of the driver's side rear wheel. Still can't believe how heavy the stock system is.

I have had my Race stainless system installed on my car now for two weeks. This car is my daily driver. IMHO it is totally up to what you can cope with in terms of the "dreaded drone." I had an 09 Bullitt with Borla Stingers and there was a slight drone it was loud, but not quite as aggressive as the MBRP. However, I am not about to literally dump twice as much money into an exhaust for a slight reduction in drone. This system is aggressive, loud, and screams at WOT. I have no complaints, and the neighbors can just deal with it!

I have the street. It wasn't loud enough so I removed the mufflers. Now it sounds perfect.

*iphone, I know it's terrible*

Every person who has heard it so far says it sounds amazing in person.

The way I put it is..."who WOULDNT want to be woken up by a 5.0 every morning?" My neighbors love me.

Wasn't trying to be negative, probably better in person than the iphone. Too loud for my tastes but I'm an old fart now. I had my share of interesting sounding exhaust systems on numerous vehicles when I was younger as well.

If I could have brought myself to spend the $1400 or so on headers I would have. This has to do for now.

I have the street, it sounds great but I would not want anything louder.

Same for me. I like the street....good low tone at idle, really comes alive at WOT and cruises down the road at an ok volume level when you kept your foot off it. Anything louter for me (my opinion) wouldnt work for a DD setup.

You would probably be more interested in a Touring type of exhaust if you think the MBRP Street is too loud. Borla/FRPP make an awesome sounding Touring catback, very mild.
