Yeah, all these lingering issues and lack of communication have me very hesitant on pulling the trigger on a kit...

I know the issues are effecting a small subset of people, but its my daily driver and I dont have time to mess with issues like this. I can't take the risk

Whats the process and time required on the buyers end to get a custom tune? Who is doing your tuning?

If you go with a custom tune from Lund through Beefcake, you'll have your base tune by the time you get your kit delivered. I've been working with Lund the past couple days to get my tune dialed in. I wish I would have gone this route from the beginning. Everyone who is doubting this kit. Get a tuner kit with a custom Lund tune and there's nothing to be worried about.

Great news!!!!!!! My car is finally running like a champ. I received a Beta file from Adrian @ Makperformance. The midrange stutter is gone and the car has never ran this strong or idled this good. I finally feel confident in my setup and can enjoy my procharged S550. I will say that I kept my factory HO kit as shipped (even the 52lb injectors) and loaded the beta tune with my diablo tuner provided with the kit. It took a while and I lost my cool on a couple of occassions but in the end it all worked out and I could not be happier with the results. The only downside to all this power is that traction has now become an issue but I'm ok with that. For those of you that are upset or dissapointed with your HO kit, don't be. It's a great kit that does NOT need expensive injectors (ID1000's) or a different handheld tuner. Be patient (hard to do) you will soon have what you need.

Updated with info on the shop that provided me with a functioning tune earlier this week. As of now I'm trialing another tune that I received from a different source yesterday that also seems to be working very well. But I must say I feel like Adrians Beta file from Mak feels stronger than the tune I'm currently trialing.

That's good news! For some reason my car is pulling timing like crazy. I'm working with Lund on the problem but it's weird. My car put down 447/399 on 10lbs and that's with the pulley that came with the kit. This has become a nightmare for me.

they will eventually get it figured out. I just don't have the time to keep messing with mine. I called a local shop today and am dropping it off June 9th. I'm pretty sure I'm going e85.

Yeah I'm sure they will. E85 will be awesome I also have plans to go e85. Lund just mentioned to me that he just got done tuning a p1 to 683whp on 11psi.
