There's no way a can tell if you're racing "solo" or somebody else. If it came down to that...I'd say I was using the Track App.

The solo drag run is a very weak argument, just because you're not racing directly against another person/car does not mean it is not considered racing. Racing against time is still a race, and that's what people do at the track, race against time to see how fast their car is.

Not that I think it should void your warranty, but saying a "test and tune" at the track isn't a race is a pretty poor argument

No it's not racing because it is not being tuned for placement. It is testing the performance of the car. Now a track day on a road course isn't racing either but it could be considered abuse if you are tracking it every weekend. It's not jargon. A track day and a drag day is not racing. Even Ford has come out and said this.

When I say best of luck.. No parts are available for repairing our transmissions.Per Ford. My car has been @ my dealer for 3 weeks. Looking like middle of July until I get it back.

I was about to buy the new Mustang, and I was looking over the sticker on the side, and saw that the transmission was made in China. No thanks. Afraid of what happened to your car, or something else. Why would Ford do that??

File a Lemon Law claim and see how fast Ford sends those parts.

Hazarding a guess... that sounds very much like a clutch/flywheel issue and not a transmission issue. May have a broken spring, rivet or a bad bearing.

If it's on the clutch side, he should hear those noises with the clutch disengaged, which would not allow the input shaft of the transmission to turn, thereby taking the turning components of the transmission out of the system.

Trent W, does it make these noises with the clutch pedal pushed down to the floor?

A single failure does not qualify for Lemon Law. Has to be multiple times for the same thing.

....Wow I cant believe it will take that long to get your car back! Just read through that thread! how have you managed to be so patient? Its only been a day and I already miss my car. Can only imagine how you feel.

From the short time I had it yes but only in neutral. I only was in the car for about 5 minutes. Dropped it off at the nearest dealer, left it there as soon as it started making that noise.

So at Idle (car stopped) it would make that sound in neutral and go away with the clutch depressed. If it was in gear with the clutch depressed it would make that noise

While moving, Neutral and clutch position didn't matter. It would make that sound progressively depending on how fast i was going. was not affected by engine RPM (at least I don't think) While in gear the sound was much louder didn't matter what position the clutch was in.

It would make that awful ticking sound every time I would try to even think about changing gears as demonstrated in the video. I didn't even have to put all the way into gear just to the point where it was starting to going out of neutral. right where you start to feel the syncro.

This is all that I can remember and it may not be 100% accurate since I only had it for a few minutes.

Hopefully its maybe just a clutch and then i wont have to wait 2 months for a new Transmission but it almost sounds like combination between the two. maybe the clutch isn't releasing completely? But otherwise it felt completely normal shifting gears and such. just had the horrid audible sound.... It almost sounds like somebody zipped tied my driveline (funny practical joke I used to play on people)

Now that you mention it almost does sound like a clutch issues... PLEASE BE A CLUTCH! if it is I take back all the awful things i said about the MT-82. Honestly I've loved this transmission up until this point.... solid gears love the way it shifted by far the best M/T Ive ever had.. but this is the first one I've had issues with.

Not true, if the car is out of service for 30 cumulative days it also qualifies for Lemon Law.
