I dunno, I've seen some idiots in slammed trucks as well.

On a side note, diesels have a built in smoke screen to help them win races. :D
God I despise coal rollers. They're lumped in with the rest of the automotive scum culture.

So far no one has tried to race me. Not even all the ghetto looking Hondas or subarus here wanna try. Did have a guy in an X1 trying to aggressively follow me home once.....

Made a turn down a side street and booked it. Never saw him after that.

Be careful of those Impala's. The LTZ's (3.9L) and the SS's (4.2L? V8) are not slouches. One missed shift and they have you. The Ecoboost is quick but that stupid clutch pedal is still causing me occasional launch mistakes.
I'm a GT Auto. So far haven't had anything able to take me on the 0-60... I mean it's not really street racing if you are just trying to see who can get to the speedlimit the fastest is it? :)

I had a Ford Escape try and race me from a light where it merges from two lanes to one last week on my way to work. As soon as I realized what he was trying to do, foot went hard down and in the rear view mirror he went . I thought it was funny.

I was at a light with my 17-year old daughter on board. Next to us was a R-Design Volvo XC-60 with a factory chipped Porsche designed 325 hp, 354 tq turbo six revving it up. The blond driving it looked fierce. I switched to sport mode and got the clutch ready...game on! Then my daughter spoke and said, "are you sure you really want to beat Mom? You really don't want to go there Dad." .....game over.....sigh..

sounds like a lot of street racing, take it to the track then talk about it here. Street racing talk is a no no.
All of these Guys are from Mexico, where street racing is not only legal, it's encouraged! :D

I enjoying hooning the car at stoplights. Can't help it. When I was test-driving a GT around (Gods, what a car), nobody wanted to race it. People seem to fear it, and for good reason.

The Ecoboost, on the other hand... it seems like people thought it was a V6, since it has no badging. Or maybe they knew it was an Eco, and dismissed it as a pathetic 4 banger. Either way, I get a lot more people wanting to be embarrassed by the car.

Where I live, there are a ton of idiots who bought Challengers with the V6. At least in a Mustang, the V6 is good power for the weight of the car. The Challengers are freaking boats, overweight as all hell. And they always want to race my '15 Ecoboost.

To say it's not even fair is an understatement. But it is fun. The Ecoboost is a very underestimated car.
The V6 Challenger is just a good looking comfy barge with a primitive suspension (based on a cheapened version of the 1990's Merc E class) thats slow. Really slow. There is no comparison with the EB, infact, I bet its slower than many economy cars. I drove the R/T with 380HP, even that felt slow compared to my old tuned Audi TT (280HP, 3050 pounds). The Challenger's sweet spot is the Shaker 392 and Hell-Cat, in both forms they are f'ing quick in a straight line. I cant even imagine how slow the first (2010/pre engine refresh) versions of those cars must have been!!!

Weirdly enough nobody ever races me with the GT. Nobody tried it with my BMW M6 as well. When I had the TT though, folks always wanted to race!! Your theory may hold water!
