I wanted to take a few mins and write a quick review for my latest tuning experience with Lund Racing and my 2015 GT Automatic. My car currently only has a few mods: JLT CAI, Roush axle-back and the Lund tune.

With the autos, the shifts and how the transmission acts is completely controlled through the tune. Auto tuning is very personal, what one person may like...another may not. I'm a 1/4 mile guy...but for a daily driver there is way more to a great auto tune then just straight WOT performance. Overall drivability and part-throttle shifts are very important. I have to say the biggest thing that impressed me is I was able to describe what I wanted and Lund was able to produce a tune that I think is absolutely perfect for me.

We did have a problem raising the WOT shift-points, but Lund solved that rather quickly with a simple datalog. We went through a few revisions and in the end I got an awesome tune that drives, shifts, and feels the way I like it.

Also the correspondence I had with Lund impressed me as well. I asked a few questions and I got very detailed explanations, and surprisingly quick turn-around time during working hours. Oh, this was accomplished using SCT also!

All in all I'm very happy with my Lund tune!

I know Lund already has a great name and is one of the premier tuners in the Mustang world, but I wanted to share my personal experience.

Where did you get your Lund tune from? Does Lund/their distributor offer free additional tune adjustments like some of the other tuners?
i agree a video would be nice...what kind of descriptions did you provide lund with? As someone getting ready for their first ever tune/cai i dont really know what to expect.

The car feels more responsive everywhere and at WOT it hauls, but I personally wanted the part-throttle shifts only slightly firmer then stock and WOT shifts more firm. I daily drive my car so I wanted the car to go through the gears smoothly at part-throttle, but haul ass at WOT. I also wanted the WOT shifts raised to 7100-7200.

Again, this is what I like (others may like the opposite regarding the part-throttle shifts). But the point I'm trying to make is its nice to have a tuner listen to you and actually deliver exactly what you want.

Your car is a manual so alot of what I'm saying and describing doesnt apply because there is no trans tuning. I'm talking specifically about automatics and the trans tuning...its a whole different animal.

But for sure you cant go wrong with a Lund tune!

I ordered my tune directly from Lund because I already had the X4, but if you need a tuner/tune combo I recommend Beefcake simply because of his reputation with having great customer service and his very close relationship with Lund.

When you flash one custom tune over another custom tune, do you have to flash back to stock first? Or can you just write over the previous tune?

Does Lund tune on the Diablosport Trinity as well? I have one and am getting ready to load the canned JLT tune when my intake arrives this evening.

Always best to go back to stock tune first was my understanding, and have had trouble free tuning doing this. Always while making sure handheld is on the most current firmware.

It is....I just think its ridiculous you can't write over the other tune, or it's frowned upon. My Accessport on my Subaru wrote tunes way faster, could change tunes on the fly, and could write over the previous tune without issue.
