I was hesitant to upload this video... but here is mine after idling for a minute or two.

Not to bash or sound like an ass but I foresaw the ecoboost being problematic. There are plenty of direct inject 4 cylinder turbos, not just from ford but in general, that have been less than satisfactory.

All cars have potential to have problems. The GT isn't immune from this. The Coyote had it's share of problems when it was released.

It's just a part of having a car, especially a new model with a new motor.

*cough* Number 8 cylinder *cough cough* Seriously though, all engines have problems and this one is no different. The smoke out the exhaust is annoying, but most people won't remove the cat and they'll never notice it.

Edit: Oops, didn't read smdandb2's post. I agree with him. ;)

Not really enough time to say if the smoke is gone for good. Thats where the maybe came in

Also summarized first post so people dont have to read 16 pages of "OMG WTF IS WRONG"

That is great news. I'll gladly go down that route once you have it figured out what works. How hard is it to change that bolt?

My buddy is having a hard time reproducing the issue on my car. Which makes it super annoying for him... because he has viewed my video showing it happening.

It maybe takes ten minutes. You pull the intake tube off and its accessible on the front passenger side of the engine.

Well, I suppose I'll have to worry about that when I get my car back.

My buddy took the turbo off, and there is oil residue in one of the exhaust ports... so my car has an issue in the head.

At least another week in this miserable Fiesta.

Here is another possible solution for inadequate PCV system functioning -

http://www.c-f-m.com/performancepar...2013-15-Focus-ST-ST250-p3732.htm#.VU_g4JNLWao

I looked up the part numbers for both our oil cap and the Focus ST and they are both the same so I'm thinking this should fit our motors.

This should get the pressure out from the stock location in the block and from the head. This also seems to help on the Mazda motors. Who wants to try it? ;)

edit: This is not not emissions compliant fyi.
