Well....I see Torrie on here day and night/7 days a week answering questions and getting tunes out, you won't see that from AM on the weekends...and the internet/forums/FB is full of unhappy Bama customers who need numerous revisions or have numerous issues with their tunes so it is crucial to the consumer to do the research on a tuner/company before spending money with them. All companies/tuners have some issues, I understand no one is perfect.

Doing research and asking a lot of questions is why I went Cobb/MAP for my tuning/parts.
Did you go with the maperformance p1 kit ?
I think it's like 2 grand for everything right ?

There are lots of options when it comes to tuning and we are one of them.

My advice is to call and speak to the tuner. Ask questions and try to get a feel for how the relationship will progress as your need for speed increases. The base tunes on these cars are all within a tad of each other performance wise no matter who you use or what platform you use. No one single tuning platform has shown an advantage over the other IMHO especially when your talking performance numbers, not dyno numbers.

If we can be of any help dont hesitate to give us a call and when you call the tech line you will be getting me directly, the tuner and owner of WMS.

Thank you,

JJ

100% agree . I recommend that to everyone looking for a tune. Speak with the tuners you are thinking about using and just have a conversation with them. You want to make sure after you receive your tune/tuner/file that they are going to be available to help you through any issues you might have. Communication is key!

Thanks for your help everyone. I just want to keep it simple a few bolt ons with a good tune. And I'll want to do a IC upgrade as well while I'm at it. Maperformance I'm going to contact you about your cat back and intake and possible IC.

Sounds good, but at that point might as well just have me tune it ;)

If you are going to be upgrading the IC, you will be blocking more of the radiator. You are going to need a better tstat to compensate for the higher engine temps!

For what it's worth, I have an upgraded FMIC and haven't seen any kind of impact on engine temps. They're exactly as they were before.

MAPs is a shorter, wide design that fits into the factory location below the radiator.

Didn't have an increase on mine either.

So with the few things I want to accomplish with my car I won't be needing to upgrade the IC ?
That's what I'm gathering out of this ?
Quick question between the mmr intake and maperformance one mounts on the frame and one mounts to the engine. Wouldn't the better one mount to the engine ? Or am I missing something.

As far as tuners, I like the Cobb because of the "extras" that the others do not have, the Launch Control, on the fly tunes changing, burn out control are cool features, I am always changing the tune on the fly.. The Cobb OTS tune is not aggressive, So I choose to pay the extra money and get a E-Tune from Adam at MAP. Money very well spent IMO.
Now if you want a tune that will rip right from the start, get the Unleashed tune and the SCT. I have used him for tunes in the past and they rip!

This is one of the reasons Mishimoto intercooler stands out. Do you guys modify the tune based on the addition of an upgraded IC or is that captured by the existing logic?
The existing logic is capable of identifying and adjusting for the new IC.

Upgraded tstat is not a compensation increased coolant temps. It's a bandaid for heatsoak onset. This is something I've never understood with Livernois they have great reputations but always recommend tstat upgrades. Once your engine gone beyond the tstat opening threshold it does nothing for heat reduction. This is the thermal efficiency of the cooling system getting overwelmend. Larger radiator is needed here.
