A Mustang in the border area
Along the former border - with the brand new Ford Mustang from Bavaria to the Baltic Sea. Time Travel with a modern Ponycar.
History meets history.
Here the faded set pieces of a once-divided country, where the highly polished sixth edition of an icon. A Yank in Germany: the new Mustang in the footsteps of beetles and record of Trabant and Wartburg.
No jaunt to the next turnpike and back. But a four-day trip to Bavaria to the Baltic Sea 1378 km away. A journey full of contradictions, a trip through eras, a long trip through the vast land.
Time endless avenues, large picture with small villages. Car Wash 3.95 €, a € Wurstsemmel. Then again urban close, agitation until late at night, hotels almost priceless, the gin and tonic as expensive as just another bottle of champagne Red Riding Hood. The Mustang is a foreign body, both here. More retro than a five-liter naturally aspirated V8 is hardly more than 16.1 liters on average thirst not. Decadent?
