You have to admit though, that the curb in not painted red or yellow, and the fire hydrant is green, not yellow.

I could see how maybe someone didn't get the cues that it was an operating fire hydrant. I think the Seattle Fire Dept should make the city mark hydrants and no parking zones more correctly if they want to help make sure someone doesn't park in front of them.

I think its common sense not to park in front of a fire hydrant. Should not have to mark anything.

This was a thing last year. Ironically, I've owned both of these kinds of cars.

Well obviously, but for some people they need more input/warning (ie, yellow curbs and yellow hydrants - which I thought was standard marking practice) to realize what's going on in the world. Not making excuses for the guy or gal's poor parking judgment - I'm sure they learned about parking next to fire hydrants the "hard way".

It would be in the best interest of the fire department to have well marked fire hydrants and no parking zones marked on the curb in front of them. Unless of course they like breaking out windows and damaging cars just to break up a boring day now and then - LoL. :D

Probably a new driver who spent the whole course on their smartphone not paying attention.

The same ones who think "merge" means "follow the white line into the cars next to you."

Its painted green because it flows between 1000-1499gpm. Only the bonnet is supposed to be painted green though. Should be yellow barrel green bonnet but some lazy city employee prolly just slathered on the green and said eff it thats good enough.

I believe that this Mustang is one of those 'experimental' models that uses electricity to break down water to make hydrogen for the fuel cells. But from the looks of the size of the hose...your gasoline costs may go down but your water bill will skyrocket.

A dog should have pissed on it instead of the hydrant.

Been on my Fire Dept for almost 10 years now. I've been waiting for this to happen so I can put my 5" supplyline right through their window like in backdraft. Hasn't happened yet. Not that I really want to wreck someone's car, but if we need water, we gotta do what we gotta do.
